General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Congrats on 4,000 pages!! I don't post here that often but still, I created this account just because of this thread and I lurk almost exclusively on here. It surprises me that a group of like 15 autists people who post frequently (plus those that appear from time to time) managed to get this thread to 4K pages. Who would've said that KF had so many vtuber fans on it.

I didn't know about this MCN thing until now. Does this mean they're going to have non-vtuber content under hololive branding or are they doing this because there's some kind of business advantage?
Business advantage. Apparently strikes are more easy to handle as an MCN, or so some people here said, among other things

By the power that is YAGOO, 4K huh? How in the hell did we get here

Dang. I guess it's a good time to ask:
Is this just going to be a phase, or the be the next big thing for a while more? The technology can keep advancing, but will people grow tired and see it as a gimmick?
I think it's here to stay. Over the past 5 years VTubers have only further cemented themselves as a medium that can attract a lot of money. From Discord showing attention to streamers to Sega collabing with Korone, there has been at least some mainstream attention given to VTubers.

like most things in the internet we really cant know for sure I felt the we already somewhat over the huge spike of popularity that HoloEn 1 bought and we are currently in a more "stable" area, but also something else could show up that make Vtuber star growing like crazy again, or we could keep the same and this is what vtuber will look like for several years, or the complete opposite and people get bored and very slowly people loose interest and after a couple year it dies.

Whey the big 4K mark. Sauce for Miko

Surprised I kinda just learned about this tread and website never ever had an idea about the farms before vtubers, Its a good middle ground between non stop positivity of other and the non stop shit flinging from /VT/ so I like it

There are plenty of threads with 4k posts but there are not very many forum threads on the internet with 11 million views.

Vtubing will exist for as long as there are people who want to stream but don't want to facecam. It might not be in the form of an anime girl but having a moving png with lips flapping on your stream layout is here to stay.

Am I having a stroke?

So I first heard of MCNs trolling youtube and finding out how Smosh and other boomer youtubers failed or faded. From what I understand is that at first channels combined to create MCNs in order to create a pseudo production companys, like Defy media and Machinima. Ever since I haven't heard much.

Why would Hololive do this? I would guess it gives them leverage and legitimacy. They can talk to Youtube like a multimillion dollar entity instead of 40+ x thousand dollar creators. TBH I have no idea what they gain otherwise since the general idea is that MCNs do exactly what Hololive productions does - provide support and management.

alright you spergs, it's already been 4k pages. how about you start providing sources for art? pls

Hearing Aruran talk about Oga pre-gartic-phone-collab sounds like when the weird bastard child is given a chane to hang around the normal kids.
Not big on Izuru, but he has his moments.

We couldn’t have reached 4k pages without you @Nolan Crush.
Truly, both of you have been an integral part of this operation. Thank you for your efforts.

What i have heard is that is more easy to manage and shit like copyright strikes goes to a single place instead of the talent and they will need it if they plan to keep expanding

One of the things that bothered about what he and Oga said is that in every collab with the girls they have to walk in millions and million of eggshells to not say something stupid, not for the talents reactions but for the retards gachikois, what a contrast with Oga collabs with FBK that she just call him and he just appears and shill with her

edit: 4000 pages and we only had to be nuked once
