Days after a 3-year-old girl’s body was found in a trash bag in Oscoda township, the girl’s mother told an investigator she hallucinated SpongeBob said kill the girl or face death from her television.

Child Protective Services investigator, Ryan Eberline, testified in a preliminary investigation of Justine Johnson on Feb. 4. Johnson, 22, is charged with first-degree child abuse and felony murder related to the Sept. 16 death of Sutton Mosser.

Two days before her death, Sutton Mosser turned three.

Eberline interview Johnson in jail on Oct. 1.

“The conversation was very pieced out,” Eberline said in court. “We would review things and go back to those things. Overall, the conversation, from what I could conclude, was that near the date of the 16th she had left her mother’s house walking and passed out in the graveyard.”

Eberline said Johnson told him she tried to kill herself in her own apartment. She also told him what she could remember about what happened to her daughter.

“She told me that she didn’t remember the specifics of what happened at the time of what happened to Sutton, that she was experiencing hallucinations due to heroin withdrawal and not sleeping for approximately two weeks. She was getting hallucinations from the TV that had instructed her to take her daughter’s life or they would kill her. “It was SpongeBob who was saying these things on the TV. If she didn’t do what she did to her daughter, they would kill her. She said she was afraid for her life and she had lost her mind,” Eberline said.

Johnson’s brother, Knesley Johnson Jr., said in court when he came home from work at about 3:30 to 4 a.m. on Sept. 17 he asked his younger brother where their sister and her daughter was. After that, he went to the back of their house and saw a child’s foot sticking out of a bag and he did not know where is sister was at that time.

Justine Johnson’s brother, whose name is withheld because he is 17, said in court after taking a shower he saw the foot sticking out of a trash bag and told his brother Knesley Johnson Jr.

At 3:50 a.m. on Sept. 17, officers from the Oscoda Township Police Department responded to the scene on 5477 Cedar Lake Road. Officers received a call about a small human foot seen protruding from a garbage bag outside the home.

Police found the remains of Sutton Mosser wrapped in bedding and placed in a garbage bag, dressed only in a pink and white disposable diaper.

There is a pre-trial hearing scheduled for Justine Johnson for 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 28. She is in jail without any bond.

Heroin withdrawal doesn't last for two weeks. It's a few days to a week at most. Lock this evil bitch up for brutally murdering that beautiful child.
Depends on how long and how heavily she'd been using. Could easily go for close to a month of rough symptoms, though the worst part is those first 2 weeks.

My point was, she should be sleeping at least after a few days. If she was up for two weeks, she's supplementing her normal heroin with speed.

Was she on something?

If I see spongebob come out of the tv to tell me to kill someone, I think it is safe to assume that I have gone mad and should just curl into a corner saying "I'm insane, call a medic." and just wait there until the police subdue me and put me on pills.

Now I lack personal experience with heroin withdrawal but I've never seen/heard of hallucinations of a schizo type to be a symptom. I'm splitting my bets between: 1. Too weak to make it through withdrawal and whatever drug she got her hands on broke her brain. Or 2. Being an irritable addict in withdrawal, her child did something that made her chimp out and kill them. Crazy hallucinations sounds a whole lot better than homicide due to rustled jimmies and impatience.

Edit:
Post-partum depression is a bitch, but I don’t think this bitch had post-partum depression, somehow.

also, it is disturbing to me that people who watched Spongebob are old enough to have kids.
See above. Even if PPD is here, heroin addiction/withdrawal and resultant behaviors is a major complicating factor. PPD is way more common than we usually think and many, many strong women get through it without murderizing their own child.

Did she really hear Spongebob telling her to do this or is she just going for the insanity defense? Because I think her story is bullshit.
I never understood the insanity defense. The only "benefit" you get for being not guilty by insanity is the avoidance of the death penalty. But, you end up stuck in a mental ward/asylum, which is arguably worse than prison.

Interesting, a woman who lived next door to me when I was growing up did the same thing, except she pretended that the child was kidnapped and got half the country looking for the kid for 2 weeks before the body was found in a garbage bag.
Also, the kid was less than 1 year old.

If I was a dictator, there would be a mental evaluation parents need to pass before they're allowed to have children.
Also, don't impregnate crazy women, guys.

If her heroin withdrawal was causing her to not sleep for two weeks, She probably switched to meth instead.

Shit you're probably right. Anyone else remember that A&N thread where a withdrawing junkie bitch basically flung her kid against a wall and actually ripped his fucking arms off?
