Canadian Truckers Convoy 2022 - The Leaf calls you a Nazi as he gasses you

that's another fun part
because of the focus on Ottawa they seem to be overlooking that some of the major arteries between the USA and Canada are literally blockaded
can somebody who knows better explain how fucked things are from "sorta not good" to "SHIT'S FUCKED, BRAH"
like, I'm no statecraft-ologist or anything but I'm pretty sure "just don't get blockaded, bro" was a big protip for a while
Trudeau and his govt are in the hilarious position of either doing something drastic and looking like a dictatorship, or doing nothing and looking incompetent. Even the lefties that love the liberals are PISSED at them.
I'm 100% certain focusing on Ottawa is intentional - they're ignoring the borders for now because they think if they can get the protest out of Ottawa, the other ones will give up or be easily crushed. But Coutts is becoming more entrenched and aside from some ticketing today, and I think maybe taking down license plates, the Alberta govt aren't doing anything about it.
And the Ottawa council earlier was talking about how they're calling in police and RCMP from other jurisdictions, as far away as BC, meaning these border situations will have even less policing. I imagine the plan is to go after them 1 at a time, but with every day another one could pop up lol

Everyone and their dead ancestors are protesting right now. And by "everyone", I really, wholeheartedly mean, everyone.

People in Buenos Aires aren't happy.

Hungary has a convoy on their hands.

New Zealand's is even bigger...

...and don't get me started on Greece.

Oh, and let's not forget the protests that are happening in Lübeck and more than 2000 other cities in Germany.

All footage is courtesy of @BananaMediaQ and @risemelbourne on Twitter. Go there, now.

They hated Trump because he called them stupid in real time when they did things that were stupid

Guys like Bush never really responded to their critics and if they did it was a press release or a spokesperson.

When AoC acted like an empty headed tard Trump would say it on Twitter, or in an off the cuff remark. CNN's rage over the nickname Fake News Jim was virtually limitless. They weren't used to having someone call them on their bullshit and they didn't know how to react.

I mean it's hard for people to realize that america is run by a class of journalists and their respective people.
I guess it's an easier cope for a leftist to call something benign and apolitical racist because admitting that left wing media is corrupt would destroy their minds.

It's a working theory and I'm more than willing to amend it as further observations are made but it's a general pattern of behavior that I've noticed.
Back in the long-long ago before I dropped out and pushed trucks around I took a 101 Philosophy course. Ethics. The first thing they taught you was the difference between science and metaphysics, literally after-physics.

So you know an objective observable fact. Great. Now what? It's just an observation. You need some kind of moral philosophy to tell you what to do with that knowledge. For some people it's religion. For others it isn't. But don't lie to me and say "science" commanded you to do things.

That's bullshit. It can't do that.

It would be heartwarming if they started reacting to the tickets like Antifa/BLM did where they'd show off their ticket to their fellows and get cheers.

Oh man if these megafuckers start rolling into Ottawa, it's gonna be amazing.
It would be very amazing. But vehicles of this size are going to be much more limited in where they can get access to cities since not all roads and bridges are designed to handle their weight. I am sure there are routes but they are going to be fewer and further between.

Do they care?

They'll just get truckers to oh wait
Driving a tractor trailer is not like driving a car.
Rental truck accidents are rather common for a reason

I'm behind on the Emergency Parliament debate stream now because of a phone call (and explaining what I was doing was an interesting and long conversation, lol), but this dude was doing some good old basic COVID fear mongering
"Alberta cases are up"

The importance of encouraging vaccination, etc, etc

"My father was a truck driver"
It really grates my gears... something about the tone this guy has when he says "our essential workers"
blah blah blah, front line workers of the pandemic
Vaccinated people use up all the hospitals
"You do NOT have the right to shut down critical infrastructure"
"The harm and distruption caused is NOT right, and every member of this house should be calling for them to go home!"
"If you're one of the good ones: go home"
1644292424988.png
"How do you negotiate with them? It's mob rule right now"
"It's time that the police use their discretion so this situation can be wound down"

"We need to do what is right to exit this pandemic so we can return to uh, what I would call a new normal, but a normal we would want to see"
1644292825725.png
"The way out of this pandemic is through vaccination."
"many people have commented on twitter THIS OCCUPATION MUST END"
"If they want to protest on the sidewalk, God bless them, that's their sacred right"
"THIRTY FIVE THOUSAND CANADIANS HAVE DIED FROM COVID"
"The government has had the backs of Canadians for TWO years and have invested millions of dollars for vaccines [and stuff]"
"They need to go home. They NEED to bring this to an end. The people of Ottawa deserve that."
"Blockades must end." (he says this about 10 times)
"I believe in SCIENCE"
"I have faith in what they say [scientists?]. They may not be perfect."
This is not about trucking mandates. It's not about that. We need to exit COVID19, NOT anything else. We need to keep Canadians safe. That's what we need to be doing. Not meeting with protestors who hold up AWFUL plaquards. Who don't respect the rule of law. Who don't respect the citizens of Ottawa to get a good night sleep and for their families to be safe and feel safe."...[and COVID19 is affecting us deeply blah blah blah blah pandemic response actions, I'll be the first to say that I want to go to a big wedding oh they want me to wrap it up now]

Paraphrasing this Sorbara guy just a little more than the others because he's either not the best speaker or he's really not doing ok today.

Will Trudeau pull a Budd?
Justin is evil enough he'd sooner blow the city entire a giant fireball that kills THOUSANDS of people, truckers AND his own supporters among the local government and the bugmen included.

Monsters like him don't kill themselves unless they are moments away from being dragged off in handcuffs, and even then only because they'd rather die than suffer a moment in custody of the people bringing them to justice and we are still quite a long way from having Justin in handcuffs just yet.

There is a phenomenon I've been noticing more and more as time goes on that I've dubbed "The religion of Science" or "Science worshippers", I won't claim that I'm the first person to make that observation but it's something that I at least started to notice on my own. The phenomenon is identical to religious fundamentalism but replaces religious deities with the idea of Science and replaces religious figures and leaders such as imams, rabbis, priests, and saints, with "Scientists" and "Researchers". Instead of doing the responsible thing and questioning, rethinking, and testing in order to constantly expand their understanding as science traditionally demands they have instead given themselves over blindly to these new spiritual leaders and accepted their teachers as The Way, The Truth, and The Life, identically to how a religious fundamentalist will give themselves over entirely to a religious leader or text.

I believe that many of these people follow the Religion of Science and will not allow the "redneck truckers and blue collar proles" to take the credit for this since their Scientists and Researchers declared the vaccine good and so to admit they were wrong would be to admit a flaw in scripture, to admit that their beliefs are fallible and their leaders fallible.
IMO this is a consequence of the sciences having discovered so much that not even a genius could keep up with it all. So midwits are just smart enough to notice this fact, and just dumb enough not to realise that if they can't know it all, the journos relaying the latest findings can't either, even if they were honest. Combine that with leftist optimism about the capabilities of mankind in general & organisations especially (as demonstrated by the city council thinking they could Thanos snap the trucks away by legal fiat) and no wonder they're content to let technocrats order their lives. Also Carl Sagan &c. were probably formative influences on a lot of these people, and that combined with the vast improvement in standard of living over the past century being attributed to public sector scientists (even if the private sector achieved most of the material gains), explains the fervour of this belief system.

Is this a struggle between people who actually liked their classes in K-12 school and everyone else?

Damn she's spittin' facts (and pretty cute)
I'm partial to Kristina Michaud Bonaventure. I may even vote BQ next time, although they'd happily genocide me.

The only practical use of sending in the military that won't instantly cause this to blow up in their faces would be to send their recovery vehicles they usually use for broken down tanks and other heavy vehicles that broke down and need to be towed to help get rid of the trucks.
Someone checked in the thread earlier, and they only own like 5.

so many of these fucks look like La Comay / Spitting Image puppet parodies of human politicos

I’m not going to fedpost but I just want to say that it’s well past time to make politicians afraid of the people again. As dumb as the Boomerwaffen were on Jan 6, it was beyond hilarious to watch politicians cower like scared children in their chamber. The honkening is more justified than Jan 6 was, which makes this situation even better.

I implicitly support (almost) anything that disrupts the structures of power. As an outgrowth of that, I implicitly distrust anyone who doesn’t support the disruption. I’d rather not “own nothing & be happy,” and we are rapidly running out of time to resist it.
