Canadian Truckers Convoy 2022 - The Leaf calls you a Nazi as he gasses you

I'd be really sad if happenings got nuked. I honestly feel like I get more information that I can rely on here, than anywhere else on the net. Usually.
This is the sites biggest containment zone for better or for worse, nuking this board could have bad consequences for the rest of the site until the mods put away the hammer.

EDIT:spelling

An extra 700 sounds ridiculous. Is there not an alternative way around this situation? Either way I will try to support when I can.
We're capping out 1Gbps. My options are a second 1Gbps ($100/mo) line or upgrading to 10Gbps (eff +$600/mo). There are certain technical considerations for adding a 2nd line vs simply upgrading an existing one.

Is it an issue of router and or switch not supporting a second line? Or is it not enough bandwidth able to be routed properly?

Hey, folks, let's stop fucking ourselves. Play the ball, not the man. No incitements to violence. REALLY want to help the truckers? Donate to GiveSendGo, now over $6.1 million.

Even if we contribute, we are all still Null's guests here. Let's act like it. We advance the discussion through rational discussion, with some controlled sperging. Verbal masturbation just comes back on you, pardon the pun.

All I really see is provocation attempts - or shark bumps - on each side.
The cops are stealing fuel and pushing around the elderly to provoke a reaction, and truckers are playing street hockey directly in front of the Department of Justice building in Ottawa to provoke a reaction.

I get concerned when I see livestreamers walking the protest and there are so many smiles giving free hugs and saying it's a party.
Get your heads straight up there and don't lose the point that this is about the government wanting to force injections into your children.

That's where when push comes to shove, I hope the men will stand at the front when the levels get ratcheted up.

Would you add a second line from a second provider for redundancy?

While I appreciate that you're concerned about the forums, could you guys perhaps take it a separate thread, both for the sake of us who want to just look at funny honklers and also for Null's sake of not needing to open up an already long thread, and having to scroll through multiple replies? (If indeed he's doing that and not just looking at those quoting him directly).

lol so many mobilefags. The mental image of so many bugmen huddled in coffee shops, "art spaces" and whatever granola markets they shop at up there angrily thumbing away on their phones makes me smile. They make everything they do such an ordeal.
You know what's an even funnier image is them huddled in their bath tubs phone posting desperately trying to escape the noise as their battery quickly dwindles since lol smartphone battery life.

As much as /pol/bros hate to hear it, optics are important. The government going full jackboot on what you just described looks infinitely worse than if they had been conducting themselves like a BLM rally.

By and large, this is normie-supported civil disobedience (note: twitter & reddit are not reflections of normie thought). I cannot emphasize enough how rare and special that is.

Let's at least try to keep the glowing down man.

I agree, if it comes to arrests they need to comply, but comply passively. The optics of being roughed up when doing nothing will pay off.

Is there anything genuine about this or is he just trying to feel out the waters for his party? (tweet)

Probably both. I refuse to believe the Liberals are a monolithic block that always share the same thoughts, viewpoints, etc. If the Democrats and Labour has their internal factions, then it stands to reason that the Liberals will, and this Lightbound is probably acting as a face/representative for their moderate faction much like how Sinema and Manchin currently is for the moderate Dems.

OK, let's get back on track:

Here's some geographical context to the situation.

Right now, the two most pressing issues for the government to shut down are the Ottawa protest (obviously) for the psychological impact its having, and the Ambassador Bridge protest due to the massive amount of money/industry being impacted.

I'm going on the assumption that any of the specialized heavy wrecker companies are not going to scab (or if any do, it will be extremely limited).

On that assumption, the only option left would be to use the military recovery vehicles to drag them out of there.

The closest armored regiment to the happenings is CFB Petawawa, home to the Royal Canadian Dragoons, which has 20 Leopard tanks (out of the 80 total tanks the Canadian military has).

I don't have an exact number, but I'd estimate the Army has around 30 armored recovery vehicles in total, so if we extrapolate the 1/4th ratio (20/80) to the ARVs, we're looking at ~7 nearby.

Unfortunately, they'll have to pick which is the bigger priority, because while Ottawa and Windsor are technically in the same province, they're at totally opposite ends (for the amerikiwis, it's basically the distance between Washington DC and Buffalo NY):

CFP Petawawa is pretty close to Ottawa, so it wouldn't take long to get the recovery vehicles there:

That's the time estimates at highway speeds (100 km/h aka ~60 miles/h). The armored recovery vehicles are not that fast, so even under full road march and escort to clear traffic the whole way, they'd probably get around half the speed max. So, more like 3 hours to Ottawa, and 17 hours to Windsor.

Now, personally, I have hope that these protests will end in a victory for the protestors (either diplomatically or ideologically), but if I had to wargame how I'd handle this as the government (with the obvious restriction of not being able to compromise on any of my retarded covid policies):

First, completely blackout the media and coverage of the incident, Tiananmen Square style. Jam the cell networks, and then just start black bagging everyone, ignoring the trucks left behind. Then, once all the people have been 'pacified', just use the ARV to rip the vehicles within view of the parliament hill just out of frame, so that you can stage a press conference declaring victory over the evil nahzee scum.

Then, just spend the next days/weeks ripping the vehicles out, with little regards to the road condition or the condition of the trucks, since you know the courts will never side against you, and the media/optics are entirely within your control.

Leave only a fraction of the recovery vehicles in Ottawa to continue those clearing operations (because the soys will not complain about the streets still being blocked once the wrongthinkers are gone), and send the bulk of the ARVs to Windsor, and repeat the tactics. Only this time, when ripping the vehicles out, take a bit of extra precaution to prevent damaging the roads/bridge.

Trudeau might still face international condemnation from free/right-leaning countries, but any country under the neoliberal caucus will sing the right tune and beat the right drum for him.

This is the only real way they can play it and have a chance of 'winning' without compromising on anything (and on the assumption that the protestors don't quit).
