It's a whole can of worms. The unions gargle politician cock. Same with the corporate trucking organizations. Typical lobbyist shitbaggery to line their own pockets. This isn't the first time federal regulators have been weaponized to remove competition in the industry.
This whole protest is being done by small fleets and owner-operators. The ones that have gotten absolutely tooled by the regs and mandates over the last however long. Decades at least.
They have been trying to kill us independents all of and recreate a Euro-style corporate fleet system for a long time. Their transportation manlet said some very unkind things to that effect wrt protesting that are going to echo throughout the industry. It was akin to a Declaration of War against the unwashed rabble who don't kiss his ass.

I'll give a Birdseye on what is happening.
The first video covers the university entrance to the ambassador bridge, it's not meant for semitrucks but as a last resort it is an option.
The blue line is the alternative path to take. The only reason trucks would be taking this line is if both College Ave and Huron Church road is blocked or they have a blockade at the trucking entrance. The redline was yesterdays blockade, which is most likely remaining if trucks cannot exit.
In short, the Ambassador bridge has a merging entry lane but only 1 exit lane. Regardless, its a two lane travel that is always occupied (think congested), so even bringing it down to a 1 lane would cause major delays and shortages (especially if the 25% number we keep hearing is accurate).
The Truck line from that video is not too large, and not out of the ordinary in Windsor. They usually see line ups that far back whenever the trucking entrance is frozen for a myriad of reasons.
I will say, the Windsorites that manages to stop this bridge are doing a great job, as unlike Coutts, there is not long entry point but multiple small entry points that police could block off for trucking only travel. Additionally, many citizen of Windsor avoid Huron Church Rd. due to the usual trucking line up, which truck could take, but these are 2 lane roads that usually have cars filling one side of the road, trucks would have difficulty managing through without hitting anything.

It is absolutely ridiculous that these people keep harping on about this ratio bullshit, as if it matters at all. All it demonstrates is a fundamentally flawed understanding of the most basic civics. Kind of absurd that these people are even considered competent to vote, frankly. It is just a retarded argumentum ad populum. I bet there is a decent chance a majority of Canadians would say they believe a male can transmogrify into a female, too, but that does not make it so.
Does anyone on their side understand why fundamental, inalienable rights and freedoms exist? I know they do not teach this in Canadian schools, but rights and freedoms are NOT merely some "nice" thing the state grants the people because they're just so magnanimous. Democracy can be a vile thing, such as when the 51% votes to fuck over and ruin the lives of the 49%. And it can be self-destructive, if that is allowed, because what does one expect the 49% to do, when backed into a corner with nothing left to lose?
Furthermore, the ratio does not even need to be anywhere near 51:49. For any state to run smoothly, but especially a democratic one, it requires the cooperation of the VAST majority of citizens. They say 11% as though it is nothing. See: the origin of the name of the 3%ers group:
Democracies are very fragile and require basically everyone to play nice. We are trying to live in a society here, and societies cannot function if 1 in 10 people has been declared an untouchable, unworthy of having a job, or so that they could not buy or sell unless they have the Vaccine Passport; so that they are not permitted by the state to provide for their family. Ultimately, why are left-wingers so considerate about the rights of their pet diverse minorities? If minorities were treated as non-persons, they would put up resistance and society would break down. We live in a society, and that society cannot handle the Black Panthers or whomever turning into a violent insurgency, and all blacks joining them, like some sort of North American Black Taliban. This is fundamentally why blacks have rights, and not because successive governments just looove blacks so much and want to give them a big hug. Popular rights and freedoms are earned as a function of elite fear. Minority rights and freedoms are earned as a function of elite fear. And that does not necessarily refer to fear of violence. Fear of impact on Muh GDP due to scenarios like what has been taking place in Coutts, or the Ambassador Bridge, can be just as motivating, if not more so. There are plenty of peaceful avenues for minorities to instill fear. Even fear of bad PR; why elites have, at least up to this point, been frozen to respond in Ottawa.
Besides 11% being more than enough to be a massive problem, the 89:11 ratio is based on coerced compliance. People with families who cannot afford to put up a stand, because they need to feed their kids. I have been fortunate that this crisis hit while I am young and not responsible for much more than myself, but many cannot say the same, so I cannot really fault others for vaxcucking due to coercion. Just how much of that overall compliance ratio was begrudging compliance? If elites only managed to get their compliance through gritted teeth, will they keep doing it on the 3rd booster? How about the 5th? Recent Angus Reid polling suggests a majority of Canadians now want all mandates gone. Look at the booster compliance rate: MUCH lower, because it has not been forced like the first two doses.
The feds seem to be readying plans to make one ineligible for vaccine passports for things like air travel unless one is boosted, effectively making "boosted" the new "fully vaccinated," so coerced compliance with boosters will very likely increase in time, but the numbers as they stand now are telling, and the people's patience has limits; how long will they submit to being pushed around like that, or more to the point, how many times will they comply until they reach their limit?
Not only is 11% of the population being backed into a corner with nothing to lose, which is more than enough to cause a huge societal crisis, but the real ratio of who is on which side, if this goes spicy and the real camps form, could be very different. Polls and booster data suggest the gigavaxxers would find themselves in the minority, with a team mainly composed of low-t nofunz coomer/trooner bugmen and grandmas. Obviously I disavow all illegal activities, and it is troubling to see our Dear Leader seemingly propelling this country into crisis on purpose by violating at least the spirit of the Charter, even if spineless judges seem to be willing to enable anything and everything via Oakes Test. What is the obvious solution to walk back all this tension and return to normalcy? RESTORE THE CANADIAN PEOPLE'S CONSTITUTIONALLY-GUARANTEED RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS. Restore the Canadian people's constitutionally-guaranteed rights and freedoms, and there will be an end to the honking.
