Midterms are around the corner and the approval ratings are in the dumps so maybe the plan is to spin a narrative that the Republican Party and Trump are responsible for all the lockdowns and mandates. I think someone earlier predicted this as a possibility. If I recall they said that if the Democratic Party did this the Republican Party wouldn't really know how to react because it makes things more complicated then rightfully blaming the other party for pushing all of this restrictive lockdown policy in the first place.

Issue is that the mandates are solely in Biden’s lap. Lockdowns, maybe Trump to an extent, but every country was doing them at the time.

People will not forget being forced to get jabbed or seek tortuous exemptions because of this.

Secondly, the Dems have hitched their wagon too closely to going against Republican anti-lockdown governors, the Republicans can simply point to the Dems screeching about DeSantis and Abbott, or the endless whining about stadiums full of people.

The government paying black women to hate black men has been one of the biggest issues in the black community for decades.

The women get "free" financial aid, but just enough to keep them living but still poor.

Huh, I wonder where I've seen/heard this before: black people being paid just enough to survive but still in poverty.

And yes, I am well aware that there are WAY too many black people that would happily sign up for this if it meant not working. Hell, there were stories of gas stations not having employees in 2020 because black people got their stimulus checks and quit. The government knows that way too many of my people can be bought for $10K/year to live in squalor if it meant not working a 9-to-5. Then the black community wonders why every majority black neighborhood is a fucking ghetto.

With most of the blue states dropping restrictions or announcing they will in a month, I expect Biden to "declare victory" on COVID at the State of the Union next month. This could just be another step in that direction.

There was a story a week back about how Joepedo's staff is doing everything they can to limit his exposure to people so he won't catch Omicron, which would destroy the vaccination narrative even more and he would probably fall over with the weakest strain. This is why the State of the Union is to be limited to 25 people per side and will be as hollow as last year's not-SOTU. But I wouldn't put it past Joepedo and his crew to declare victory over covid while in a sparsely populated room doing covid restrictions.

Peterson's a decent guy with some good ideas on personal responsibility and self-empowerment, but he doesn't know shit about politics, and it bleeds through when it comes to issues where you need to go for the throat. To use a common example - CRT is a fucking non-starter policy wise on both sides of the political aisle; left, right, center, they all hate it, and the only ones who are outright supportive of it are the hard lefties and race grifters. Similarly, the thing about calling out the 2020 fraud for what it is is that pretty much everyone already knows, even if they won't admit it. At this point, even a massive chunk of the Dem hardline believes Trump got robbed (they're much more split on whether or not this was a good thing, of course), to say nothing of the people outside that hardline base that never saw Biden as legitimate.

So why is it Peterson thinks avoiding it is the better option? He's trying to logic it out, but he's using the wrong frame of mind for it. In his mind, as I understand it, there's a thousand more direct issues you can hammer that are vastly more effective, so locking these seems like a waste. The reason he's wrong is that every one of these is another chink in the armor, and the Biden Administration, starved as it is, cannot afford to let any go unresponded to - and in those responses it will always overreach.

I would have to look into this but I have the feeling Petersen believes CRT is essentially a religion at this point and attacking someone religion isn't going to end well. It just ends up hardening the people you are trying to persuade.

Better to show that their frame of understanding the world is wrong with actual results than a philosophical debate where they can circular reason back to their original position.

I might be stepping out of bounds but Petersen does ramble and people miss his point unfortunately.

Actually I think it's the opposite.

Biden could have won by doing nothing, but choose to self-immolate anyway because he couldn't help himself.

Biden could have "declared victory" back in August when we reached the fake 70% milestone, but instead he doubled down and tried to force everyone to get it, thus destroying any good will he could have gotten out of it.

Biden is going to say COVID is over when it's already over for about 80% of the population, and the other 20% will think he's lying because they are so afraid. Ironically, the 20% will be his own base, in the same way they rebelled when the CDC dropped the quarantine from 10 days to 5 days.
