Canadian Truckers Convoy 2022 - The Leaf calls you a Nazi as he gasses you

Another big source of problems is the outsourcing of IT in general, hamstringing everyone’s ability to fix anything technical. You can’t even run to Staples to get a cheap laser printer for an emergency because ‘hurr-durr we can’t have unauthorized devices on our network’.
IT people go on the wall.

Everywhere I've worked, you'd think the entire company existed to service its IT department, rather than the opposite.

So a bit more from my experiences going there yesterday. Here's the "local opposition".

I saw this nonsense scribbled on a power box. Next time I go I'm bringing my own permanent marker.

This lady showed up right before sunset. Maybe 5 PM? When I first saw her sign, I laughed loud and hard, which no doubt made her pissy. Even the nearby cops chuckled. People will engage in conversation and maybe get a bit confrontational, but not violent. A kid offered her a donut.

Another guy (in the black mask) basically was talking about the MOU of Canada United. Which...I don't care? Supposedly there's a big deal about how the MOU is bad.
Write down “remove tranny” when you get the chance

(I’m kidding, don’t be a nigger)

Remember, if you ever feel the urge to kill insectoid creatures, Timesplitters has the absolute best looking ones. I've been dreaming about killing bugs LONG before I saw Starship Troopers.
I'm up for Space Pirates:

Coutts AB update:

RCMP statement at Milk River AB:

"pls move from the illegal protest area to the designated protest area where no one will care about what you're protesting guys"
EDIT: late on this one loool

Del Bonita AB, another border crossing, has had a blockade set up:

I wonder if the Cardston Mormons will get involved.

Also look at this badass grandpa

Leave the defacing of public property to the "local resistance".

Go draw a kiwifarms logo on that one guy's W900 Kenworth covered in well wishes instead.

I would...if there was space. There are at least 4 of these vehicles, and they are COVERED. Only took pictures of three of them. There's a pickup covered as well. I could maybe get the top of the bigrig, but I don't really want to climb up somebody else's property.

I'm tall so if there's space I can get the upper portions of the rig.

Don't vandalize shit. They probably have undercovers waiting to scoop anyone for the slightest property crime. Let the niggercattle citizens of Ottawa be the ones to pad the Ottawa PD's arrest metrics.

I'll bring some sticky notes and tape. Don't think that can be considered "defacing".

The cops are pissed that kids are there because it dramatically limits the amount of force they can use.

Tear gas, pepper spray, stingball grenades, and sometimes flash bangs are pretty much banned for riot control if minors are present. The last thing they want is some little leaf with burns for a flash bang or on oxygen due to CS gas.

K9s are banned as well as in a crowd the fur missile cannot differentiate between so many targets. You could use it as crowd control but the practical use of that is limited in this case.

P.S. Many riot control gasses have an ignition source to generate the fumes. The trucker convoy has people refueling by hand and gas cans everywhere. While remote the use could set of an explosion.

I am guessing they don't want the Canuck version of this on the front page:

That image being from Oklahoma City and the FBI now involved coordinating the response by the leaf feds, the government tactic may very well shift to planting an explosive near the bouncy castle play area for maximum effect.

Instead of bringing a permanent marker and potentially bringing bad PR to the truckers, bring some cleaning products/gear to remove the counter-protester graffiti. That's a good PR move for the truckers, and it also silences/deplatforms the counter-protesters.

What they're arguing although I disagree with the explicit construction of it is at heart the idea that companies cannot inherently be trusted to not get up to shenanigans. Where I think you make a good point is that the megacorps we see today are only possible in a highly regulated and competition-controlled environment in which they can punish the competition and better weather their hardships through government interference.

Where I think you're both missing the plot is that the inherent problem lies not in regulation but the government getting in bed and involved with each other. They need to be separate and if actual positive change that would please both of you were to occur in regards to the current status quo it'd have to involve some form of regulation on the government and it's employees to restrict money coming in from private interests. It's not that regulation is bad but I think it's pointed in the absolute wrong direction.
I explicitly stated the issue is governmenr collusion with industry. A Libertarian model of government keeps this from happening by avoiding regulation of the market. You will never have zero regulation as certain things like FCC restrictions on radio frequencies are necessary (in the days of analog broadcast there was no channel 1 on tv because that frequency was reserved for public safety communication as an example) but outside of what can be evidentiary justified in a court of law, there should be no regulation of the market, and any such regulations must come about as a result of human activity and not government fiat, such as the new mandate for remote kill-switches in cars beginning next year.

Now you know why the Summer of Lovers were using their keeids as human shields.

It's a nice thought but it won't happen. Humans are fragile people and eventually over time enough of them succumb to offers. Maybe this is simply the cycle of Governments. They eventually enter a phase where the Governing body becomes so corrupt and self serving, and the people are so oppressed and disenfranchised, the people rise up, the system collapses, and then the cycle starts over.
This only happens in the absence of spirituality, good parenting, and an informed public. Two key things happened in the 60s in the US that paved the way for thr nightmare of now. The elimination of history and civics in schools, and the end of Congress providing each new member with a copy of the Jefferson Bible upon their swearing in with the expectation that they read it and follow it's guidance.

That's the thing, even your superiors are spineless to call you out on ANYTHING these days.
In the white collar world, it’s generally pretty hard to get fired for general low-level incompetence - you’d have to fuck something up REAL bad for the company to actively fire you. What’s more likely to happen is that you’ll just be the first in line when the next round of layoffs come.

Something else you have to realize is that many, if not most, workplaces run on 50% productivity max. You may think you’re being unproductive but it’s very possible you’re actually above average.
