I would just like to point out as I catch up, with repeated reference to the civil rights movement, most of that discrimination was driven by government policy. The schools that had to be integrated were run by the government. Separate seating on buses and trains was a result of The Secondary Box Car act.

In a free market, money from niggers is just as valuable as money from crackers. It's all green, dummy.

The automotive industry problem is something to watch out for. Two days ago the executive chairman of Martinrea International Inc. (a car manufacturer in Ontario) went on Bloomberg and said the auto industry would "come to a screeching halt" in two days if the bridge stayed close. Can't imagine they'll be in any position to weather this when they're already dealing with a chip shortage.

We need more. Things will only really start to hurt when essentials become scarce. Right now things are a stalemate. The truckers' best movie right now is to set up and refuse to leave no matter what. If the police starts arresting and hurting people that's only going to make them look bad and risk an optics disaster.

The fact the police haven't already busted the protest up a week ago proves this. The police know how fucked the situation will get if things turn that way. The police can only intimidate and threaten because if they do anything then this goes from 0 to 100 real quick. Even if 90% of the truckers don't resist arrest, there is always going to be that one idiot who decides he's not going to go quietly. This situation is extremely volatile. All the protestors have to do to not lose is stay right where they are.
