Canadian Truckers Convoy 2022 - The Leaf calls you a Nazi as he gasses you

Leafs watch American football?

Yeah, there's Canadian football, but it has different rules.

He's the Premier of an irrelevant province with nothing but timber and fish. He wants to seem hard as fuck and pretend that everyone loved his constantly closing and reopening everything just to close it when he got the slightest amount of flack from the greens and libs.
For reference:

Not a lot of trade in New Brunswick relatively speaking.

Believe it or not, New Brunswick is actually somewhat important as a nexus of trade. NB may not really have any major cities of its own, but there is a fair bit of trucking throughfare between Montreal and Halifax, or more broadly, the Maritimes and the rest of North America. The Port of Saint John is also technically the 2nd most important port in Canada by tonnage. See: Table 11-4a: Top 20 Canadian Water Ports by Tonnage (Domestic and International) – 2011. NB could probably be a pretty ripe spot for trucker blockades, and for the talk about NB timber economy, that's plenty of logging trucks. Doesn't mean I think it's right or that I agree, but I can see why Higgs might implement that protest ban, if the tyrant thinks he can get away with it.

The blockade in Windsor/Ambassador Bridge is practically a party:

Meanwhile, on the Michigan side of the Sarnia/Bluewater Bridge crossing:

Apparently they've been stuck for "several hours"

I always forget just how much comes through Halifax and has to be taken through there. That's probably why Niggz is adding that little "no blockading rule" like he's losing a gave of civ and bitching you're being unfair. I'm a little too hard on it being from there, having left and seen what other provinces are like then coming back to see what sad state of affairs my dreary little shithole finds itself in.

Oh man the truckers are winning the optics war. The leftists make me wish for a nuclear war. I see vids like these and I look up how long it would take me to drive up there.

I think the main reasons he's acting are twofold:
  1. He is watching Jason Kenney getting BTFO in Alberta, and how the protesters have him by the balls
  2. He watched Tim Houston in Nova Scotia implement a protest ban and get away with it
It would be nice if other premiers were like Scott Moe of Saskatchewan, but alas. If he really opens up for good, and Sask becomes Canadian Florida/TX, I expect I will find myself moving to based rectangle in the near-to-medium term future.

UOttawaScotty at least got some cardio in there.

Watching him sperg about the one cop car he saw and how they are going to process the arrestees at the pavilion with all of the busses of cops that are going to show up any minute now was worth the price of admission. Definite lolcow potential.
"This random guy that said he's friends with Pierre Poilievre [citation needed] said that the cops are gonna ARREST EVERYONE right now!"
Honestly I'm starting to wonder if the truckers are deliberately starting to do their own counterintelligence, because by fucking with the (mostly neutral) streamers word gets out WAY faster than their own dudes lol

This poll is two days old but Abacus Data did some polling among Ottawa residents regarding the convoy.

The pro- and anti-convoy camps in Ottawa both agree on one thing: they think Trudeau has handled this worse than anyone else. The pro-convoy camp has a pretty positive view of the police and their involvement in this.

Half of the residents surveyed think Trudeau and Ford need to meet with the truckers. Keep in mind that only 22% of residents surveyed support the convoy.
Respondents were asked which of two statements comes closest to their views.

a.We can’t let our healthcare system get overwhelmed we need to keep restrictions in place to protect public health.

b. We need to learn to live with COVID and we should remove all mandates and restrictions, even if our healthcare system is overwhelmed

That's the problem with polls, you get bullshit loaded questions like this skewed to get people to answer a certain way.

Choice a is basically, keep restrictions they keep us safe

Choice b is, get rid of restrictions, fuck the health system.

Choice b is worded so that if you pick it, you hate nurses.

I watched a stream of his before and he came off pretty level headed. That is why i even posted about the rumor. That fedora wearing Dennis should have set off more alarms i guess.

I had to tune out of one of his streams the other day.

"It's ya boy, U Ottawa Scotty!"
"It's U Ottawa Scotty, U Ottawa Scotty and we're live... yep"
"U Ottawa Scotty! Oh look! FREEDOM DOG!"
"U Ottawa Scotty...live"
"U Ottawa Scotty here"
"...and this is U Ottawa Scotty"
"U. Ottawa. Scotty."
"This is U Ottawa Scotty...and... Oh! hi there I'm U Ottawa Scotty with the letter 'U'"
"you're watching U Ottawa Scotty"
"U Ottawa Scotty, ya boy here live streaming. U Ottawa Scotty"
"FREEDOM COOKIES!! ONOMNOMPH U ODDOWAH SCOMDY NOMNOM"
"ya boy U Ottawa Scotty... walking down this street. U Ottawa Scotty..."

Alright so I'm definitely exaggerating, but at times it feels like the man is forming a tic

Really noticed here in Canada that the corporate media on TV (like what @Meat Target posted here) have greatly upped the generic "far-right" boogeyman rhetoric in the last few days. For non-Canadians, CTV is probably our biggest news outlet outside of the CBC. There's also been a lot more of the standard narrative (being that anyone protesting/supporting it is a retard who are just anti-science/secular religion) pushing of video clips/sound bytes of people who aren't saying anything really crazy but come off as speds (and frankly they should know better than to talk to journoscum especially if they're not the best speakers.)

There's a lot more of a push by broadcasters to say that they're protesting "vaccines" rather than "vaccine mandates." Prior to the last few days they were actually pretty decent by modern media standards to make the delineation but now it's pretty much back to not even pretending to be unbiased.

I think that they're finally easing into trying to make this a racial thing too which was always going to be the plan anyway; if there's one thing that Canadians and Americans have in common it's a a religious urge to make the white guy the devil especially if it can be used to push a political agenda. Right now it's mostly the news trying to play up accusations of anti-Semitism around those who make yellow stars of David/Holocaust analogies while making sure to present it like the protestors are making claims that would clearly be far more insidious than what's happening.

The newest big talking point is over the money being raised. It's very clear that they're going with the "American far-right" play and I imagine that "muh Russia" will increase as a boogeyman especially as there's a relatively large Ukrainian population in Canada.

Yeah, I don't think it's terribly difficult to overcome the massive intellect of ZOT.

There are some legit streamers just observing and some serious spergs. Something to keep tabs on. I have a feeling there are going to be a few new threads on these people before this is all over.
