Nintendo Switch (Currently Plagued) - Here we shit post about the new Nintendo console, The Switch

In an interview, Jenna revealed that she recorded lines of Melia for three different occasions. The first occasion was Xenoblade 1, the second was Xenoblade DE, and the third game she acknowledged she accidentally revealed. Plus, the character before Nia (in the XbC3 teaser) also bears a strong resemblance to Melia's appearance in Future Connected. I'm pretty sure her voice is in the trailer too, she's deepened it though.

I heard the reason Trigger hasn't been rereleased is due to a complicated thing regarding the game's staff.

Does nintendo still do call in repairs for old switches? I've had a dead one for almost two years and I've put off getting it repaired but kind of want to now. When I say "old" I mean I have a launch model.

>remastering Chrono Cross and not Chrono Trigger

Fuck you, Squeenix.
Chrono Cross' "remaster" just looks like what you get when you run the original one in Duckstation, and upscale the resolution. Looks like all they did was give it a boring font, and rescan the character artwork. They didn't even make it widescreen.

And they did rerelease Chrono Trigger on Steam a few years ago. The top reviews complain about it crashing, and retaining the mobile version's interface. This is modern Square Enix we're talking about, and that's all you could ever hope to get in terms of a Chrono Trigger remaster now.

They should have tried Bleem! instead.

Mostly hoping the 3rd Monado thing will get cleared up.
If you're talking about the identity of Ontos. It's already been cleared up.

Definitive Edition replaced the key on Alvis' necklace with a red Aegis core crystal. And Alvis' explaination that he is the administrative computer of a phase transition facility fits in with what Ontos, Logos and Pneuma's role was as said by Klaus. The theory is that because Ontos was transported to a different universe entirely, he wasn't bound to the driver-blade system that Klaus had created, and so, ended up becoming a god. Alvis is the third Aegis, but he's not a blade.

I rewatched the Xenoblade 3 trailer and paused it to make notes. For those who care, this is what I noticed.

The black haired girl/guy is obviously the protagonist. The flute(s) has plot importance. There are two of them.
There's a war going on, because of course there is. Can't have a JRPG without a war, I suppose.
Ionios? Ionieus? Is that the mechonis-looking thing in the background?

The sword at 0:29 looks like some kind of Monado replica, like the Monado REX in Future Connected.
The Gormotti girl uses weapons similar to Nia's rings. I don't know whether this is a traditional/commonplace thing for Gormotti or if the girl has a connection to Nia. It's more likely to be the latter.
Some guy with a grey face shows up. I assume he belongs to one of the races in Xenoblade 2.
There's also some girl with a massive hammer. There's also a rugged-looking guy with an X-shaped scar on his face. Reminds me a bit of Vandham.
The black flute is shown being played by some blonde woman, and there are other flute-players onstage with her too. I noticed in this scene, everyone's wearing some kind of blue glowing ring device around their waist, just like Shulk did in Future Connected.

The trailer goes on to show some landscapes/environments. There was one I instantly recognised: the distant fingertip on the Fallen Arm in Xenoblade 1.
The next shot shows Sword Valley in the distance, but vertical.

There's a thing with giant tires. No idea what it means or why it's just sitting there.
You can ride a boat! Exciting.
Massive-tire-thing can fire lasers. Cool.
The brown-haired girl is a High Entia with small headwings, but they're black, instead of the usual white. Intriguing.
There's Melia, dressed like she's on her way to a fancy funeral.
Next shot shows Nia in a golden mask. If that's Nia, then who's the other Gormotti girl? Her daughter?

There's a snowy landscape with what looks like the iced-over head of a Titan from Xenoblade 2. I don't know what this means for the Titans, or Elysium.
Sword Valley fates into view in the final shot. Black-haired guy and the Gormotti girl are clearly the leading two characters of this game.
Coming September 2022. :)

Black-haired guy is Shulk's descendant; Gormotti girl is Nia's descendant. Brown-haired High Entia girl could be a descendant of Melia but I'm not counting on it.

Melia and Nia are the leaders of the two opposing factions of the war, hence the masks they wear. It means something, I swear.

I don't understand why a frozen XC2 titan and Sword Valley exist in the same world. What happened? Why does Nia have that golden mask? Is Melia really in mourning for someone or is that just her fashion sense now?

Does anybody actually give a shit about another Fire Emblem/Dynasty Warriors game? Only the remasters were at all interesting. I guess if you're a Xenoblade fan for some reason there was that.

I've got a pretty good idea on how that makes sense.

At the end of Xenoblade 1, Shulk wishes to live in a world without any gods. Sensing that Klaus has passed and that there is now a habitable world available, rather than creating a new universe, instead, Alvis simply merges the XC1 universe back with the XC2 one, effectively undoing the split that occurred as a result of Klaus' experiment. It was likely simpler for him to relocate rather than create something new, and with other forms of life, perhaps it was thought that this would be the best way to ensure the world thrives as the civilisations eventually contact eachother and potentially lead to prosperity for both.

When and where these universes rejoined is hard to say. Two universes means two timelines, meaning that the XC1 universe could have merged a year after the end of XC2, but in the XC2 universe, a millennia may have passed.

There's also the possibility that one of the beanstalks (the thing that was overgrown by vegetation and became the world tree) would be the central point where these new universes clashed. It would certainly be interesting to see one of the other beanstalks.

Ok, I cannot be the only one to feel MK8 looks different right? Something about these new courses and even the characters themselves looked off in the trailer, so I went and watched footage of base MK8D.
Then here is the new stuff:

The game got a significant glow up. The new corses look a lot brighter than the old, hell, even the characters look brighter. These courses look like they were directly ported from the mobile title, with little advancements in detail. MK8 used to have much more texturing and shadows, whereas these courses seem more plastic.

No hate, I actually really like the lack of detail, it fits Mario better in many regards, but it was strange to see.

I just found out that 3 of the new 8 courses are from Mario Krap Tour.

Not going to lie Xenoblade 3 is the first game in years that I am actually excited for. Nia as a main antagonist just feels right. She was verbally vicious when she was good but think of all the savage put downs she will spew at the heroes now she has gone full Darth Vader. If Nia does not bang on about a one eyed monster then lets lose some big ass cyclops type creature on the good guys as a random boss fight in XBC3 I will be disappointed.
