My bad, but I'll quote from his book here (38:00 in):

"Senior pranks were a huge thing at my high school. It was a rite of passage; almost a graduation requirement to pull a prank. A horrible prank came to mind: "what if I pretend there's going to be something bad happening on the day I'm in surgery?""

Not directly a "grad prank"- but it's how he's retroactively justifying it. His book also mentions how the "girl I had liked all through high school, essentially told me to hit the road; to get lost". I zero percent believe that his motive for the kill list was sincerely to prank anyone. I think he did it directly to punish his high school target and wanted to be absent the building for any consequences. Her name was probably the first one on it.
According to the police report two photos of the kill list were taken on two different devices. It may not be FOIA-able at all, or at least without the names being obscured.
I do wonder if the people on that list ever became aware of it?

Because it occurred in high school, we should probably assume everyone knew who was on the hit list.

none of those were actual life or death situations that would warrant pulling (let alone using) a gun
Dunno man, if this creeper threatened to show up on my doorstep, I’d certainly appreciate having a gun. As pipsqueak as he is, he has tard-rage strength, and the women he creeps on don’t seem to be very physically strong (just based on their apparent height and more importantly their weight - they are all model-thin). Also, didn’t he say he was going to kill himself at Erika’s door? Rate me paranoid, but in her position I would have read that and assumed he was turning up with a gun, not a box of pills. A woman who lives alone and attracts the attention of a psycho like Russhole needs a vicious dog or a gun or both, IMO.

Mostly joking about it but given his habit of being all bark and no bite where real life and other men are concerned, can just say she needs a Prime Manly Man figure in her life to be there long enough to make him deflate and scuttle off. Then he can write his next book about how Chad McThundercock literally WWE smackdowned him in front of her house and everybody who saw laughed at him and threw feces despite the reality being the guy just locked gazes with him across the yard and didn't even so much as twitch at him.

🙄

I figure she would have been made aware by a close friend or relative if not by her own check up that he moved to LV so she's gone and gotten herself sufficient protection. Or at least that's what I'm hoping, since it's still in the air if he will ever beeline towards her again when the opportunity arises.

Can't say with certainty Russell wouldn't end up doing something actually batshit since it constantly feels like he's one bad court dick smack away from finally losing his shit past the "IM TELLING THEM ABOUT MY PLIGHTS!!!" immediate court barrage usual routine. We might see if he actually goes anywhere serious with his face once this case continues or see if he ends up just deflating again as per usual.

Not a gun owner myself but in Erika's case and similar situationst I definitely support the idea of having it in hand as a last resort. One of those hope you never have to use it but it's there if you need it things.

And yeah, killing oneself as a threat makes me think of guns over pills too. Mostly since pills, depending on what you suck down, can end up just giving you one hell of a long and agonizing death and his attempt would be moot because he would have been carted away from her residence before he got to the croaking stage.

I agree with you on everything except this bit. Women shouldn’t need to hook up with men for self-defence purposes. Get a gun instead, and only hook up with men if you make each other happy.

Well, it was mostly a poke at the fact he's straight up deflated in front of every man he's been physically in front of despite talking big.... Skordas, etc.

My biggest concern regarding Shit-Lips is this: it's obvious that his days of trying to use the court as a bludgeon to get people to do what he wants are drawing short. AGT's Hollywood Jew lawyers are going to win, and will likely beat him like a rented mule in the process. They may even press to have the courts mark him as a vexatious litigant. Null and Skordas will more than likely win that suit. He's lost every lawsuit he's filed or has been filed against him. Eventually he will no longer be able to waste the court's time so he can play into his "super lawyer" delusions and to bully people like he has been, at least not as easily. When he's lost his main outlet for his impotent rage and his "super law stud" delusions have been shattered, what's that going to do to Shit-Lips' already unstable mind? How is he going to handle his rage and "punish" those he feels wronged him?

There's no way Russ would be attempting suicide with pills, not with his mouth. Just try and imagine it; Russ showing up at Erika's house, distraught, eyes streaming with tears, nose streaming with snot, and even less coherent than usual due to sobbing. He vocalizes something completely incomprehensible, then throws his head way back and baby-birds dozens of pills one at a time into his gaping maw before washing them all down with a carton of the cheapest nastiest chocolate milk sold by the local gas station, getting it in his beard and all over his face in the process. Even Russ realizes that this scenario more affects the stomach than it does the heart, and is ridiculous rather than dramatic. He could bring a knife and cut his wrists or stab himself dramatically in the heart, but I think that he doesn't have the guts to cut himself. No, it's a gun or nothing.

The problem with him having a gun is that if he decides he's going to clock out he might decide that he's taking someone with him.

Molly and Zach,

I’m sure by now that you’ve realized that I’m the real deal. I’m a law professional like you who works in an office. I’m a 10 who works out regularly and has a cool story about overcoming my plights.

I think that it’s unfair of you to bring up my past issues because I feel real bad about them. That means you should just ignore them and move on. I have.

In case you haven’t figured this out yet, I have all the big chess pieces. I’m sure Fremantle would not want the press reporting on them coming down on a disabled man with plights, but is also cool and overcoming his plights at the same time.

All I’m asking for is a chance to woo Heidi. That and a three-way between me, Molly, and Heidi. Unless Molly is like an 8 or is a Fatty Mc Patty. I deserve better.

In closing, I deserve to be famous and have me my penis sucked. You have my demands.

Welcome to the big leagues. Govern yourselves accordingly.

The coolest guy you’ve never met,
Russell G Greer

Greer has historically characterised himself as a disabled victim, to the extent that it would probably be hard for him to break conditioning and act outside of that framework. Even his most extreme moments of acting out - the kill list, and the occasion when he trashed his workspace and then blamed it on an angry customer - carry an unmistakable air of impotence. These were acts that were undertaken in private. When they came to light, Greer sheepishly backed away from them. He did not own his actions when confronted, but instead grubbed around for excuses and justifications.

I imagine the reason why Greer has been able to hold down employment, and also why no footage has surfaced of him venting the rage that undoubtedly simmers away inside of him, is that he is scared of direct confrontation. This may be the result of his Mormon upbringing, a manifestation of rank cowardice, Greer's self-perception that he is weak, or a combination there-of. He is only ever able to assert himself as an aggrieved party, and even then only through an esoteric spaghetti system of misread laws and arcane social rules. He is not the type to rise up and decisively take back from society what he thinks he is owed. He wants society to recognise his plights step back and make accommodations for him. That can only happen if Greer remains the injured party in his mind.

Even if he were to snap and act against these deep-seated impulses, a hulked-out Greer would likely manifest as no more than him grabbing hold of a woman who was attempting to walk away from him. Greer would, no doubt, later justify this aggression as a gentlemanly attempt to stop the girl from tripping and falling.

Greer's broken personality is a self-negating grab-bag of dog-eared jigsaw pieces that defy assembly. He will continue stew in the black tar of his own rage. When legal avenues of reparations become untenable, he will probably increase his sniping campaign on Yelp and other social media platforms, alongside muttering his discontent under his breath in public (unnecessary since no-one understands him anyway). The only clock towers that Greer will ever climb are figurative.

With all that being said, I can see him coming to a dumb end: Perhaps being confronted by the police while delivering unwanted flowers to the home of one of his stalking victims, then being shot as he advances towards them in an attempt to explain his side of things.

The thing is, people who threaten suicide in this context are super unlikely to actually kill themselves. It's a control mechanism to force the other person to comply with their wishes. It's a recognized manipulation tactic in cases of domestic violence.

I don't deny that Russ was distraught and that the threat probably wasn't consciously calculated (though it might have been, you never know) but men who tell women, "Love me or I'll kill myself" are abusers. Full stop.

If he showed up at Erika's house with a gun, it's almost a certainty that he'd shoot someone or something else -- Erika, Chad, Erika's pets if she has any, or even fire randomly through her windows to maximize terror and the potential of hurting her physically -- before shooting himself. He probably wouldn't even get around to shooting himself before the cops got there, even if he (says he) intended to. If he couldn't get to her, he might take out his rage on someone else -- a random woman walking her dog, a house full of sorority girls down the street, whatever.

So yeah, he's a real threat to her safety and Erika confronting him with a gun might work to save herself. If she happens to have the gun in her hand when she answers the door and/or can draw it from her purse faster than Jesse James, she could shoot him on sight before he has a chance to wreak any other havoc. And assuming Chad doesn't answer the door and get shot instead (unless, I guess, he's also in the habit of answering the door armed) or Russ doesn't walk up to Erika while she's unloading groceries from the car and has her hands full, or something like that.

My point is that her having a gun could be useful for self-defense under certain circumstances, but it's not a magic bullet (haha). Unpredictable, mentally-ill maniacs like Russ is turning out to be are nightmares when they're armed. Fortunately, as far as we know, his restraining orders forbade him from having firearms (though he could have purchased one once they expired) and he only has his Amazon stun gun as a weapon.

Edit: This is, of course, assuming Russ actually does anything. I personally think there's a really good chance he will escalate because guys like Russ tend to do that. More optimistically, he's a complete loser. His loserdom is so complete and all-consuming that he might top out at the "impotent threats" phase as other people have mentioned. We have this debate in this thread from time to time over whether he's capable of hurting someone, and we never get to a consensus.

Your analysis is good.

I am team “he won’t attack Erika again”, but also team “he will get violent against more women”.

I’ve helped women who deal with men like him. Sometimes it ends, and sometimes it doesn’t end, until the creeper does cross the line and goes to prison.
