Well I should rephrase how it's more prevalent in Japan then over here. but I do hope this little event will help Japanese nerds to realize that this idea of the virginal seiso idol isn't realistic or healthy, either for the fan or the idol. Romance and sexuality are important part of the human experience. To insist that idols eschew them is to insist they reject part of their humanity.
