This girl can add herself to the list of thousands that went through the same thing when the fucking covid restrictions kept them from their loved ones. I have no sympathy and none of this would even be happening if it wasn't for their oppressive government.

It doesn't even make sense because there are other border crossings in the province, a few hours' detour wouldn't be any different than external circumstances like heavy traffic or a highway accident. You wouldn't see her crying on tv in those circumstances. It's so transparent.

I keep thinking about the protest and how simple and yet genius the whole thing is. Excuse me while I try to articulate what I mean:

1. You don't need a lot of trucks to block important roadways and bridges.

2. You can't prevent truckers from actually meeting up and blocking stuff. What are you going to do, block the truckers? Stop every truck and make sure they aren't carrying anything to indicate it's a protest? That wouldn't work, and it would just slow down the supply line, which is a good thing for the truckers.

3. You can't easily or quickly remove them once they're stuck. Moving an 18 wheeler and farming equipment is not the same as moving a regular vehicle. And getting a tow truck isn't going to help much. There isn't enough tow trucks to move 18 wheelers, and even if there was, it still takes forever.

4. You can't easily force the truckers to move via legal or financial reasons. That just makes them feel like they have even less to lose and gives them more of a reason to stay put. Besides, they are well aware that you cannot replace them easily, so they have even more leverage.

5. You can't shame them into moving via calling them Right Wing Extremists or claim they're being funded by outside sources. These aren't SJWs, they don't give a fuck. These are hard and honest workers, not lazy reddit mods. At best, the smears are just going to piss them off and motivate them to stay put.

6. Having feds infiltrate the protests isn't really effective in this protest compared to other protests/movements. Yeah, feds will cause trouble and give the media something to point and scream about, but that won't really do anything because of point #5. And having feds infiltrate to give the police the justification to beheavy handed won't work either because you can't force protestors to move via violence; It would look absolutely terrible from a PR standpoint.

7. Even in the absolute worst case scenario, where the government forces the truckers to move either due to violence or just simply mass arresting them... then what? Now you have a bunch of trucks that can't be easily moved. And now you have a bunch of truckers in jail that can't drive the trucks to keep the supply lines moving. And it's not like they can just mass hire new people to fill the roles, hell they don't have enough truckers right now, much less after you arrest a bunch of them.

There is no other way to make the blockades go away easily... other than giving into demands and having the truckers move themselves WILLINGLY.

That's the beauty of all this, it's so goddamn simple and yet highly effective. At the end of the day, if truckers and farmers etc decide that they aren't moving, then everyone else is at their mercy. You cannot even try to just wait it out either, since truckers and farmers play such a vital role in our lives, it won't take long for people to realize they aren't going to have their food, fuel, or precious Amazon packages until shit starts moving again.

And just think: What if other specialized and vital occupations have their own epiphanies about this and start their own protests? Other movements such as fast food worker strikes or warehouse strikes always fizzle because you can just easily replace them with new workers. But this is not true for specialized occupations. What if train conductors decided to halt their trains? What if pilots decided they aren't going to fly anymore? Cargo ships decide they aren't accepting or delivering anymore cargo? Etc...

Damn it Canada, look what you've started! No wonder political leaders are freaking out.

Wow, they're actually pitching it as a way to overcome the trust & communication issues of a diverse society. Most blatant case of "solving problems we created" I've seen in a while, combined with the modern obsession with automated systems. It's the quintessence of globohomo.

It's really remarkable how every single descriptor they use for a digital ID system is the polar opposite of what it would actually do once implemented. There are zero economic benefits to the citizenry (seriously, what the fuck would they be?), it would annihilate any last remaining shred of societal trust, and it would make it impossible for Canadians to control their data ("held by the federal government" lol). Also what the fuck are these "inclusive services" it's talking about? The only thing it does is make it easier to track people and control their access to locations and services. That's it.

I was curious where Trudeau was so I used google news, typed "Trudeau" and sorted the results by date, and I got this:

First time I've ever seen the images blurred, I even used other browsers and the results are the same.

I don't want to put on a tinfoil hat, but its the first time I've experienced this.

Wow, your web results display opinions that oppose the state? There are virtually no headlines in my feed other than "Trudeau mad and stop honk" and "big men meet in room for big talk soon".

Part of me hopes a US convoy does disrupt the Super Bowl. I wants the sportsball-worshipping jockbugs to suffer as well. Plus, it'll basically be a home game for the Rams, and LA does not deserve to be happy.
i imagine a good chunk of super bowl viewers support the convoy.
they might even the Canadian Version of Lets Go Brandon.

It makes sense in a twisted way. It's a substitute for trust, because when you can know someone's entire history at a glance by looking at their digital ID you don't have to trust them. The economic "benefits" are the time savings from not having to swipe cards and show papers all the time. They could tie to your bank account so every store will be like that Amazon Go commercial, just to make it even more efficiently dystopian.

Maybe they can throw the Harry Potter fandom a bone and create a Sorting Hat that uses all of the data attached to your digital ID to determine what career you should pursue. A reward for their political loyalty.

Another really effective thing, IMO, is that the whole thing is over an extremely straightforward and clear-cut goal: They want the restrictions that are put in place to be lifted. That's it, that's the end point. That happens and it's over.

The thing with stuff like the riots was that they had no real goal. Any reason given was either some idealogical platitude, or some nebulous concept like "defunding the police". There was no end point that could be achieved, because it was really about being angry and destructive for the sake of being angry and destructive.

WEF member as an MP.

Another day, another conflict of interest more inbred than a pack of captive hyenas.
WEF Young Global Leaders program includes the last three leaders of the Conservative party and the current leader of the NDP, in addition to most of Trudeau's cabinet.

Freeland is especially vile. Vat-grown glowie spawn of Ukrainian Nazi collaborators. Did glowie shit in Kiev back in the late 80's before the USSR collapsed.

If this were to come to pass, what truck driver would ever deliver to Ottawa ever again? To me, that's the biggest thing overshadowing the whole protest right now, and I would hope the Boy Wonder of a President and his Council of Dunces is keeping this in mind (press x to doubt).

Now that they're back in power, Globochomo suddenly cares about small business.

These shitstains have spent the last two years deliberately working to drive small businesses out of business. BLOW ME.

There are unironically alot of ukranian Jews and neo Nazis who are Jews who want to see Russia burn and broken up into billions of pieces. About 200+ years of bad blood there between ukranian nationalists, Yiddish Jews, and Russians. Ukraine was one of those places where the Nazis were less brutal then the soviets in their treatment. Plus alot of those mass graves can be disputed as both sides committed bitter attrocites. Weather it was religion or national sentiment.

Many of those people in the late 20th century were emigrated into the west and became powerful oligarchs within the west.
Also weird theory I believe for a long time the oligarchs of the west were United for the most part the last 50 years. But due to recent trends in social media and the growing sentiment we might see more and more oligarchs fight each other like it's the fall of the Roman empire. Even the rich and powerful are motivated by mass sentiment to some degree. Total ignorance leads to an absolute french revolution type scenario where everyone loses.
