The way they're talking about this, it's almost as if they believe these "powers" are actual superpowers like they see on their capeshit entertainment gruel. Like there are going to be government agents walking up to truck blockades, extending their hands, and moving them aside with telekinesis.
Assuming they don't impose some kind of indentured servitude upon truckers, they'll probably try to recruit bugmen and migrants as scabs.

The bugmen really do have this warped sense of magical thinking, perhaps not in the literal sense, but they probably don't think much about the actual day-to-day workings of organizations, governments, businesses and especially non-abstract things like machinery and infrastructure. They assume there's an underlying procedure to everything but lack the curiosity to even bother comprehending it for themselves.
