Tesla's are almost as common as Civics where I live and let me tell you firsthand that they are hands-down the worst cars ever made. Tesla's marketing is incredible but their cars are not. They have single-pedal driving which means the tesla is constantly braking when acceleration isn't applied. Teslas can go from 110kmh to 60kmh as if they were applying the brakes at a medium level without there ever being any indication that the car is slowing down. The paint comes right off, the whole car looks like an amalgamation of children's drawings and I have never seen a less thought-out and cheap interior.

I have one final thought, and I would like to quote Étienne de La Boétie from The Politics of Obedience and The Discourse of Voluntary Servitude in 1577 who said the following:

In my experience this generally isn't true, at least in the US. It is for google and faceberg and apple, but the vast majority of development jobs are with small/medium companies. 95% of those won't even consider an H1B applicant because of the paperwork and infrastructure required. Even more, remote work is allowing companies to find talent in the flyover states, where they can pay a junior dev $50k, a senior dev $100k and replace a single California dev, all while never having to leave the US.

Here's a prediction of sorts:

The last few days I've been seeing stuff about blocking the bridge at Niagara on a few Telegram groups. However... I think that's a glowop by the government to fuck with truckers (especially with an alleged US convoy group joining) or a psyop by the truckers to divert resources to Niagara to prevent another border crossing.

Something I have heard ABSOLUTELY no talk about? Thousand Islands Bridge and the other bridges between Cornwall and Toronto.

The truckers have been absolutely on top of their game with their logistics, organization, and psyops. I can almost guarantee they're fucking with the government. Make public announcements about bridge X, show up at bridge Y 200 km away.

The problem is the systemic/cultural dysgenia. Tech runs leftist, and leftists hate the very idea of meritocracy, which is what is required for good software development. You don't come to market with computer vision / driver automation unless you are a very large firm, and these large firms are the ones most afflicted by what Vox Day terms "corporate cancer". I don't see reversal of this trend any time soon. Maybe this trucker protest is the beginning of a groundswell, but I've been waiting for just about anything since #GamerGate.

It's not even about the driving. That's the easy part. @Titos has been inspired by this to study up for a CDL. Care to break down what all has to happen on pre-trip inspections at the beginning of every shift before you roll? AI can't do most of that. They aren't cars.

Then you have all the cargo handling and inventory control. Maintenance. Fueling. Weather. Road conditions. Miscellaneous on-site troubleshooter duties.

Though the biggest most insurmountable one, by far, is that the people who put in the orders are complete fucking idiots. The clowns can't understand the difference between shipper, consignor, and consignee. Basic stuff. A good example were the tards who were calling for a demonstration in front of GoFundMe's address earlier. They didn't look to see that it was a PO box. When you call them on the phone to fix stuff like theis they go "why?" and you have to eli5 that the address they put in is a Post Office that receives their mail not a shipping address for receiving freight. It sometimes takes days to fix this.

Who in their right mind is going to give control of 40 ton vehicles to AI directed by them? Dear Lord. It would cost a fortune to unfuck it after the first day. Just hire a pro. We'll handle it.
