It sure is weird seeing so many of these "Marxist" dipshits who so fundamentally misunderstand a philosophy of which they purport to be ardent supporters. A big part of Marx's worldview is related to his idea about the alienation of capital and labour, i.e. a master/boss who owns equipment (capital), and a slave/employee who operates the equipment (labour). People attending these protests are almost exclusively labourers who work with their own equipment, which Marx would see as basically the ideal form. Companies are not allowing employees to drive corporate vehicles down to the protest.

The people who Marx describes as the "bourgeoisie" are not maligned because they are a successful labourers who managed to scrape together enough for their own tools; it does not merely mean "rich" or something like that, but rather it is about one's role within the economy. Marx sees people who own tools, and who pay wagies the wage to use them, as something of a parasitic social class, akin to someone engaged in rent-seeking or usury. Truckers who are owner-operators, who own and operate their own rig, cannot be parasitic against themselves or their own labour; that proposition is absurd.

Who is Marx talking about when he describes the "bourgeoisie?" What does that word mean? "Bourgeoisie" is a French word that refers to urbanites, analogous to what one might call, in Medieval English, the Burghers. In more modern English, you could call them city slickers (sneed). In other words, much like these urbanite bugman soyim, who contribute nothing of value to society, who are presently complaining about this grassroots workers' uprising, and demanding that the neolib state deploy the army to gun down all these pesky peaceful protesters.

I'm not even pro-Marx, especially when you look at derivative systems like Marxist-Leninism that would be fucking this same type of guys over as kulaks or whatever. But the "lefty" arguments against these protests are just utterly incoherent. No, urbanite bunkertranny, the farmer rolling into the protest on his own tractor is not a vampiric city slicker like yourself.

How are glowies going to stop this protest? They can infiltrate it and make it look bad, but the media is already doing that, and the truckers don't give a fuck. If anything, it's just making them stay put.

They can infiltrate, cause havoc, and give the police an excuse to beat and mass arrest everyone. But then you still have a bunch of trucks in the way and no one to move them. And no truckers to drive them once they're out of prison. Not to mention, you'll piss off every trucker that wasn't at the protest; arrests would turn fence sitters into protestors.

This is one protest that really has no easy way to break up. You can't shame them into leaving, and actually arresting them still leaves you with blockades and upset truckers.

Rate me optomistic, but maybe the emergency meeting is because Justin Turdoo has finally accepted the reality, that there is no way around this protest besides repealing the mandates.

The truth is that if it was possible to move it by rail, the GREEDY CAPITALIST CORPORATIONS would have already done it. The lack of action by these corporations indicates that these is not a sufficient profit incentive to do so. Problem is there USED to be train cargo terminals. Since it was more economical to move consumer goods and LTL freight by truck instead of rail, the majority of those terminals were dismantled.

Most of the stuff moved by rail is large amounts of commodities - grain, coal, lumber. That is where a train is more economical to run instead of a truck.

Realistically you're probably fine unless you work for a particularly activist corp or the government. Remember the cops who got suspended/fired for donating to Rittenhouse. Unfortunately it comes with the territory of putting money through organizations and websites with massive targets on their backs. Whoever did this is, unsurprisingly, not very good at it. They did a simple javascript window.location, but in such a weird way. It's half way through the site's HTML, which I suspect is why your browser gets about halfway through loading the main page before redirecting. It's also duplicated 4 times, and it's partway through a link declaration. I mean, it works, obviously, but it makes no sense to me why anyone would do it like that.

givesendgone.wtf isn't even behind CloudFlare or anything like that. It takes two seconds to see they're using Namecheap's basic web hosting. I get not dedicating your own infrastructure to a hijack like this, but why the hell wouldn't you even try to hide your host? They're probably dumb enough to have used their legitimate payment information for the domain and hosting.

I really hope that this is true because when I first read the story on the CBC, I was so certain that she had screwed herself by falling into a trap. Arranging to have a sizeable chunk of participating trucks relocated to a location of the City's choosing sounded like a nightmare waiting to happen.

They at least bothered to use Namecheap's WHOIS privacy service, but I bet someone (or GiveSendGo's staff) could ask Namecheap for the details of the actual person. WHOIS privacy only protects against casual browsing; if you violate the TOS of the registar they will give that info up.

“While police escorted my car through the barricade to my trucking yard, protesters yelled at me, calling me a ‘traitor’ and a ‘scab’.” One man threw his coffee at my car. I was angry and wanted to say something, but I didn’t want to get hurt.”

The Surrey Board of Trade and the Surrey Chamber of Commerce both issued statements speaking out against the protesters’ actions.

“The impact of these blockades is choking already impacted supply chains, businesses and jobs,” the board of trade said in a statement. “This is an unacceptable sabotage of the economy.”

The chamber of commerce called for more action by governing bodies and said COVID-19 and extreme weather caused labour shortages and supply chain disruptions, and the protests are adding to the strain and preventing economic recovery.
