I just finished watching this series. I really like it and I can't wait to the 2nd season. My favorite episode so far was the Halloween episode. It was not only really funny, but I liked the animation and thought they actually did a good job making that demon thing scary when it first appeared.

Also, the episode where the grandma starts deep throating that lolly pop had me laughing out loud, something I haven't done in a while. MORE FOR ME! AGGGAGGGAGGG lmaooo

I wish there was a Ralph B. style production with modern writing it would rule.

I think that's why like the show, as absurd as it is, the dialog and reactions seems super natural.

From the impression I got from the interview, it seemed like Adult Swim were giving these guys a really hard time when making the show. Between tight schedules and cutting out things, it's like AS wanted the show to purposely fail.

Hopefully with season 2, AS will back the fuck off and let these guys have more creative freedom.
AS is retarded as shit, and has been for years now... They have proven over and over again that they are willing to (almost literally) shoot themselves in the face just to "own" their actual fans.

No, that doesn't make any kind of actual sense, yet they still consistently do it. Mark my words, they'll do it again with Smiling Friends.

I really liked the show. I found myself grinning like a retard between chuckles and laughing. Hopefully we get a season two that matches the first. If not, at least it won't devolve into Reddit shlock like Rick and Morty.

I like the anti nihilism view point of the show
kinda like the opposite of rick and morty
the show is great when rick was a nihilist who harms those around him, but eventually comes to love his family. in the season 2 finale, he turned himself in to space jail so his family can go back to living peaceful lives without him. but creators didnt know wut to do after and last three seasons are them constantly switching between new shit to keep their retarded audience from leaving.

The Mr. Frog episode is great because there's some clear mockery for the producer; how he hires Glip for his edginess and then immediately tries to squash it in order to not come off as 'offensive and toxic'. He genuinely thinks making something milquetoast saved the show despite the rabid fans knowing exactly what they want.

It made me smile :) I think the Mr. Frog episode is my favourite. My only minor critique is we need more episodes with Alan and Glep. Like Zach said, though, the episodes weren't really meant to put a critical lens on topics but more just to laugh. I can't wait for season 2!
