I mean at this point the entire protest is fedposting. If not for the fact I forced myself to buy a VPN last year I probably would have not been able to Connect. Canada's government is trying to actively shut down any discussion of peaceful protests. Seeing how well funded those ddos attacks plus these recent lefty shill posts in articles and happenings I think this protests scared the government to it's core. They're doing anything possible to keep anything counter to the official narrative from spreading.

That being said the leaf government is still playing with a very hot fire. If they're not careful they will slip into civil war. At that point it's all bets are off and assuming by a miracle we just sit back and watch and supply both sides and it doesn't turn into all of north America is civil war mode.

As for fedposts if you're a leaf and that's your sentiment God speed my man. Everyone else keep them to a minimum and limit the use of the N word to once or twice to keep it tasteful and maximum effect.

I dunno, maybe. But I'm not religious either, although I came from a religious family.

It seems like "hey, maybe we should let people live their lives as they see fit and make state interference as minimal as possible" is a conclusion one can come to even from a totally secular perspective.

But since you mentioned it: Because our era of unprecedented peace and plenty is a historical aberration. Even then, it is an aberration concentrated in the First World. It can end at any time.

Cities depend on keeping a fuckton of plates spinning simultaneously. If one goes kaput, it can cause a chain reaction that causes others to fail.

In a lot of ways, Canada is lucky that this happened during the tenure of such an incompetent moron.

I think a more shrewd politician could've mustered a lot more public support for authoritarian measures and anger at the truckers, given the current nightmare-hell political landscape.

He's cornered himself however what if he thinks he won't get out of this alive. Desperate men can do desperate things to stay in power. Remember he's placated to his base so much that being seen with any sort of compromise would lose his base.

You have to think about this even in democratic societies what happens when weak people sense their jobs are on the line. While you can justify this in France as France rioting is practically a national past time. But for Canada to go to the point that the political parties might do the unthinkable and exceptional. Remember these people have no qualms about changing the rules to suit them.

I think they could do with a little more innocent tomfoolery. I'm still mad nobody has used my idea of using surstromming to forcefully vacate areas.
