He would be right if the economy made sense, but then there wouldn't be a trucker revolt over the fact that the paper pushers colluded to lock down society so they could spend more time in their PJs. All that production has to be coordinated (in the farmer's case the distribution), the tools designed and manufactured, medicine made for them and their animals, catalogues made to inform them of what goods and techniques are available outside the reach of word of mouth, &c. &c.This makes sense because cities are well known for their food and energy production.
