We are a Union of States, to be accurate. Part of that is letting others live however they want as long as they leave us to do the same. Federal decrees are being tested and failing in the Supreme Court.

The US has never restricted interstate travel of people and those who don't agree with the mandates are free to go to those where they don't exist. That's what is different.

So apparently David's Tea company (pretty self explanatory) is being boycotted because the company owner's wife had made a $200 donation to the truckers. A lot of things are pissing me off right now about this, but the political affiliations were turned around there would be some major consequences for doxing people on twitter.

Yeah you may not recall but during the 2020 election cycle, Jack Dorsey's explanation for why it actively suppressed any linking to or discussion of the New York Post's expose on the Hunter Biden laptop was because it "went against their policy regarding hacked material."

Once again, the future building jumpers in that company's SF offices don't do anything when it's on the other side.

I do find watching these videos of Canadian government very interesting, not only because of the different languages and dialects, but that unlike the US "government" the appearance of all the members does not automatically tell you their politics. There are a good number of "minorities" on the Conservative side.

I would love if the US congress was allowed to berate each other and directly yell at the president like this.

Don't get excited yet, he wasn't unambiguous enough. When I first heard the question I thought he was asking if counter-protestors would also get in trouble. Hell I still think that's what he meant.

To me it sounded like he still wanted the truckers out, but wanted an assurance his favourite antifa trannies could kick off as much as they liked without getting arrested.

Agreed. American politics is disgustingly "respectable" and sterile. It allows politicians to never be called on their bullshit.

I'd kill to see Joe Biden or Donald Trump have to answer to opposition congressmen regularly on live TV.

To all Canadians - Contact your MPs, no matter the political stripe. I will be going to the Constituency Office of my MP today to call them out in a peaceful manner. If you can, go to Ottawa. Voice your discontent PEACEFULLY. Do not be fucking goaded into violence by the fascist pigs in power.

To Americans - Contact your House Rep and Senator. Contact your Governor. Pressure them to make a statement that the wholesale violation of Canadians' constitutional rights should not be tolerated and must be condemned.

No but it's a start. He said it right at the end, so you could tell he wanted to read the room before putting a stance down.

After today it's very clear what direction this is going in, I think this was him putting his foot in the door to get the ball rolling before he lost his chance.
