I think a lot of people on KF have read too many memes about Trudeau being a wimp or a cuck that they honestly expected him and the Liberal Party to just cave.Goofy Logic was the only sane person in all of those posts. To be honest I agree with him. Even if I think it's a dumb cause I don't think banks should be telling people what they should or shouldn't be putting their money towards unless you're literally funding organised crime or violent terrorism. It just leads us down the slippery slope where we had banks refusing to let people donate to stuff like Rittenhouse's legal team based purely on ridiculous political partisanship. If people are allowed to throw money at BLM despite them burning businesses down people should be allowed to fund these retards as well.I understand Null's stance on banks and empathize with his situation but the honkening isn't the same. Blocking international land-based travel between two global superpowers has wider reprocussions and impact than a website where people can say nigger and cheer on the 41%. This is the "find out" portion of the truckers fucking around.
I told conservatives back in 2002 that all their "Anti Terrorist" policy shit would come home to roost. So did a lot of people. We got called Anti-American. We got called Terrorist Sympathizers and Mooslim. To be honest I agree with him. Yeah, he ran off instead when people called him out. Going full tyranny is sure showing the fringe minority with unacceptable views who's boss amirite?I think a lot of people on KF have read too many memes about Trudeau being a wimp or a cuck that they honestly expected him and the Liberal Party to just cave.
Oh noes, the poor multinational corporations bottom line is being disrupted, we can't have that. Nevermind the economy is already in the shitter, what's the use of prolonging a status quo where small businesses go bankrupt, inflation is highest in since 1991, and poverty is on the rise is worth protecting?I understand Null's stance on banks and empathize with his situation but the honkening isn't the same. Don’t forget the part where they believe Trudeau is the bastard son of Fidel Castro.I think a lot of people on KF have read too many memes about Trudeau being a wimp or a cuck that they honestly expected him and the Liberal Party to just cave.
Oh, that's just a funny joke, I don't think anyone actually believes it and seeing AP do fact checks on it gives it unwarranted focus.Don’t forget the part where they believe Trudeau is the bastard son of Fidel Castro.

No sympy.

Well, here’s an article that lays out the details if anything. https://medium.com/@leibowitt/of-co...dad-nobody-has-debunked-anything-4db6fc8a9042Oh, that's just a funny joke, I don't think anyone actually believes it and seeing AP do fact checks on it gives it unwarranted focus.
I mean...it WAS a funny joke seven years ago but we are in an age where people think pizza parlors are child sex slave dungeons so I guess someone out there probably believes it.
It's more of a general thing; when you extend government overreach, it's almost guaranteed that when, not if, when the other side gets their turn in power, they'll use it to fuck you over. Noone learns.Yet, even with Bush, or Trump, or Harper for the Canada equivalent, the 'right wing' governments didn't consider fundraising for BLM or the various environmentalist or Indigenous protests (even if they were economically disruptive or violent) with the same laws that are supposed to target fundraising for Hamas or ISIS. This is an insane bar to cross and either we go tit-for-tat or it's called out for the insane overreach that is.

That's what I got told over and over in the 80's by a certain side of the political spectrum....which side was it again?Oh noes, the poor multinational corporations bottom line is being disrupted, we can't have that.
“Peaceful” they already made arrest for violence, also, don’t give me “buttttt.. BLM” cause they were violent too.I've learned. I was still a teenager when 9-11 hit, so I went along with that nonsense about how you have nothing to hide, nothing to fear.
I never expected a democratic state like Canada use the powers to combat terrorism funding to target peaceful protests.
Honestly if they were in some US cities these truckers would be dodging bullets by now. People get shot for loud music all the time. 24/7 honking? On Sunday about 1000 Ottawa locals blocked some truckers from joining the convoy by launching an impromptu protest-off they want to call the "Battle of Billings Bridge" (a very shitty local mall). They stalled the trucks all day to stop them from joining the protest and made them take their stickers off before they let them go back home. This convoy shit escalating to dueling armies like they're political LARPers is striking me as really funny. Is this direct democracy?
