Hmm. He could be pretty pissed about that after he shilled hard for Pips in his last This Week in Stupid video.

And I doubt he was really being more of a sped than some of Pips' other regulars. Was this personal on Archivebro's part?

Unpopular opinion, maybe, but I kinda like Vee.

Catching up.

Funny or interesting bits that I haven't seen clipped:
- Bae started making choking sounds when Lui called the ENs senpai. (Bae has told HoloX not to call her that. They never listen.)
- When Bae said the ENs would introduce themselves in Japanese, Mumei silently tried to kill herself with a berry bush
- When they visited the gingerbread house, Mumei explained the concept while Lui and Bae translated. Sakamata tried to murder one of the snowmen inside by pushing it towards the furnace, but it escaped the house instead, causing everyone to panic. The predators tried to herd it with walls while Bae tried to find a leash. Finally they just walled it up outside and left the mess for someone else to clean up.
- Bae explained how Ina's house got struck by lightning and replaced by a glass tako with a visible brain. They started talking about Tako Bell. Lui thought tacos were Mexican. Mumei was adamant that they were American "Mexican".
- The tako's brain tree holds the soul of Haachama from the future

- Bae: Why are you breeding in someone else's house? Go breed your own babies! (said to Mumei, regarding foxes)
- Mumei forgor the way to the Bunkeronii
- Lui was utterly appalled by the automated chicken harvester
- Bae and Mumei don't know what Fauna's room in the Bunkeronii is for
- I've seen comments that Bae tends to disappear during collabs. I think part of this is POV issues. When they reached Kronii's room the predators all barged in, admired the aquarium, and started arguing about seafood vs chicken while Bae just silently stood outside. She was staring at the "Do not enter" sign while her chat cracked up.
- For some reason Sakamata was scared of Mumei's fox army and was more perceptive than Lui for once
Sakamata: You're psycho?
Lui: Not psycho. So cute.
Sakamata: Cute psycho?
- Bae described the fanfics as doujinshi. No prizes for guessing who was interested.

- Lui passed after looking at the first page, neither tourist read out loud (Iroha read out half a page of a Reine/Moona fic on the JP server)
- The other thing with Bae and collabs is that she assumes her collab partners/assigned tards are more on-track than they actually are. While walking to the secret garden she got well ahead of the predators because they were still fighting over Lui. (You can also see this in some Council collabs like Human Fall Flat.)
- Visited Fauna's house. Lui tried to talk to a chicken stuck in a wall. One of the wall chickens laid an egg, which Bae took as a sign to force the consummation of the marriage while Mumei watched
- At the end Mumei sounded legit stressed about getting sucked into the yuri vortex, despite her own contributions
Wow, I watched the whole thing with two (of four) POVs and still missed some of that, good eye. Great collab for sure!

So which one would cause the most drama if the terminally online found out that the vtuber is in a relationship in real life? People got to be deluded to think a bunch of charismatic women are all single virgins
Honestly I can't think of anyone who would have it worse than Rushia, considering she's basically the poster child for GFE and with the superchat record to match.
If anything, I'm sure we EOPs have been spared a lot of the drama thanks to language barrier. But most of the ENs either don't GFE much, and/or were already known to have boyfriends before debut.

I didn't have anything to say, just wanted to relish in being able to post again.

My money's on the Carolina's if for no other reason because Pippa's there now.
Call it fate, if you will.
This topic always throws me off, I thought some autists doxxed her to the point they knew what animal shelter she volunteered at and contacted a family member of hers.

How is it that people still idly speculate where in the US she's from.

No you dumb nigger, this obsession with purity and members not seemingly having any relationships with any penis havers is very firmly planted in "Idol culture". This shit goes beyond Youtubers. This happens to Idol musicians all the fucking time because the Idol culture fans are fucking weird. Here's a selection of articles talking it from a basic bitch google search.

Ah yes, BBC and JapanToday truly the most credible source to learn about Japanese culture and definitely aren't just pumping out their monthly quota of 'weird japan' articles.

The AKB48 one gets taken out of context the most. Even in the article it states that exactly zero AKB48 fans wanted this to happen and Minegishi did it because she had a mental break amplified by tabloids. It also didn't follow up with the fact that Minegishi was quickly forgiven by everyone from the start and went on to become one of the longest lasting and most respected members of AKB48 until graduating amicably six years later.

Get caught having boyfriends (contract breach)
-> Get "demoted" by agency (not really a big deal)
-> More fans are upset about the punishment than Minegishi having a boyfriend
-> Tabloids run with it and she becomes national news
-> Minegishi freaks out, has a mental breakdown and shaves her head
-> ???
-> Fans support her and beg for her to come back
-> "idol culture" strikes again

Hey man, I very explicitly said "Basic bitch google search". The whole point was, Tom was painting the situation as a "sad vTuber fan" thing and not a "sad lonely male/female watching someone of the opposite sex who sells themselves as a parasocial significant other" thing. Which, lets be honest, is exemplified in Japan very squarely via the Idol industry/craze. Which Hololive is definitely tangential to.

Hell, even Kanata got over emotional when her Oshi got married, even though it was known she was dating the guy. Anyone else remember?

Context on that guy?
Vee is a squeaky-voiced Romanian YouTuber who has been a capo (some say the capo) of Carl "Sargon of Akkad" Benjamin since the GamerGate days. Here's his YouTube channel.

Some people hate him because of his voice and/or his association with Don Sargone. I don't mind him, but I will concede he did seem to be a bit try-hardy in regards to Pippa.

His golden cow dried up, he's desperate for another.

Idol culture in general is fairly shitty, there’s been plenty of shows, animes, movies, ect that have talked about the dark side of it and just how deranged some fans can be and the mental toll it takes on the idol. The film Perfect Blue speaks a lot about it, and even Hololive members themselves have been through the dark side of idol culture in the past.

All that being said, however, said fanatics are definitely in the minority and I think in general idol culture has improved a hell of a lot from the way it used to be. And Cover, while still making mistakes, has been doing much better and breaking out of that particular idol culture stereotypes as it’s gone along.

So it’s a shitty thing that happened, and the ones participating in the shitty behavior should be called out, but it’s unfair to label everyone with the same brush over the actions of some clear outliers.

It's not the Kanata type fans that are causing idols to have mental breakdowns. It's having your face plastered everywhere on tabloids, guilt from causing trouble for your colleagues, fear of losing all your fans and a dash of pre-existing menhera that causes shit like that to happen. Fans are the quickest to forgive.

We're just splitting hairs at this point though. The JP vtuber world is many concentric circles of outsiders shitting on insiders.

Holo fans gets shit on by Holo antis, Vtuber fans in general get shit on by other otaku, otaku get shit on by normies and the mainstream media, it's the circle of life.

Being VTuber, you should be able to avoid this problem. Because the anonymity it offers.
But, it doesn't help if you are already popular before become VTuber (people will easily identify you), or if you leaking your private info.

Anyone know what happened with moona's Song breakdown stream? Its privated now and someone said something happened, any idea what?

Edit: Nevermind found it, she showed her discord with some message with one of the animators I think, nothing noteworthy only a cover she had already leaked a while ago apparently
