I know a number of "leaders" of the protest were arrested. Guess what? A majority of those attending probably don't even know who they are.

That's the glorious thing about this. They did organize this and I will give them credit for starting the movement...but they don't control the truckers. The Romanian guy or the French Canadian or the Sikh are there for the idea of a free Canada. Trudeau going full jackboot only inspired those who lived in communist regimes to just stand there harder as their moment of Solidarity.

It's always darkest before the dawn. This is Trudeaus last chance to use the Emergency powers he has at his disposal before real shit gets tabled. As doomed as it seems now, this could swing back in a long protracted legal sense. Of course they're going to arrest the ringleaders and do everything they can to deperson them, but hopefully those Charter Rights lawyers kick into high gear and make this a fucking problem for the ruling class.

This screenshot isn't accurate. Here's the archive. The subsection (2) quoted above is part of section 3 about foreign nationals entering Canada, not section 2 about public assembly. Beneath all the verbiage, this is about preventing Americans from driving up and joining.

We might not agree on politics, but I acknowledge your right to expression and freedom. I don't like the Canadian Government, period. I'm native, they're our enemy since time immemorial.

I will say just this one thing: people you don't like, who believe things you don't agree with are the fulcrum between this movement and the government. Maybe don't alienate the ones who agree with you on this one issue, since it's only THE BIGGEST AFFRONT TO CANADIAN RIGHTS SINCE THE 70'S. Just a thought.

In this country, as things stand right now, the color of my skin now dictates on every level of society my place in it, and it is to have no voice, no money, no bodily autonomy, no control over offspring, no right to my history, no right to refuse work.

The only thing, by law, that I am allowed to do is shut up and obey.

Compared to the lefties I know, he's about the second one to actually have a value he will hold to, so that is statistically remarkable. Most of them will jettison any belief the second they feel the opposite view will get them more power. All they have is their agenda and literally anything, no matter how antithetic to ideal they claimed previously, is fair game if it advances their power.


They have no conscience and feel no remourse for demanding the only speech that should be free is the right to repeat their talking points, or that protests are only for them, or that slavery and genocide is fine if it's against their political opponents. To actually feel some doubt or shame over the lack of fair play, to not be completely focused on betrayal is a sign of a conscience, which points to still having a soul.

Again, it's so rare in someone on the left since no matter how much you love fags, or if you are a fag, or not white or even a tranny, you basically get burned as a witch for saying such heresy. Like elephants evolving away from having tusks to avoid poaches, lefties tend to remove their soul, their value of self lest they be torn asunder by the collective.

I think you do align with the protesters then, because they're just advocating for free choice and to stop the dehumanizing lol. I think people need to stop thinking of this as a left-right issue because it's a liberty-authority issue.
