Ordered myself one of these. Might as well add up some credit card debt before they freeze my cards lol.

Not quite, the woman would do more high society things, such as hosting and gatherings, as well as managing some things in the home.
During WW2 stay at home mothers held gatherings how to support their husbands aboard, take care of their familiy, children and how to better their country.

I miss that tradition, women are taught to depend on stimmies use internet as a day care alternatives and dependapotamus galore.

I swear that there is a stark difference between modern women and those who are in 90s right now.

Canada is very definition of failed liberal economy and destruction of social cohesion.

I mean, I wouldn't fall into utter despair so fast. The one thing you can always count on is history repeating itself, because those who refuse to learn from history will always repeat it. And it's pretty clear our current government is on track with that. History is built on leaders rising and falling, depending on circumstances. Some countries had tyrants for years (Pol Pot) but they eventually were brought down. It's almost like the ebb and flow of the ocean.

For me, personally, I always expected our country to fall long before this. When Trudeau was first elected, I was incredibly upset but since I do practice a religion, I held onto my beliefs and promised to endure no matter what. And that I'd never let these people break me. And I've also acknowledged several times - even to friends - no where in the Bible (or any other holy book) does it say "Don't worry Canada will be spared lol". It's why I put more of an effort even in these last few weeks to love those in my life. Canada was never agreed to be a permanent state or that our modern lives would never change. With the growth of elites who believe they're living gods because they hold money and power, I knew there was going to be a point when upheaval would come.

But you got to endure and set positives in your life, otherwise they win. Times may get tough - very tough. You may see people you love disappear. Silenced in the name of a regime. Even you yourself. But the human spirit is tougher than you think and know - even yourself can be stronger than you anticipate. Think of all those soldiers who survived the POW camps in Japan, where they deliberately did the cruelest things to them. Even though not all of them came back, there were still those who did. Some surviving out of pure, unadulterated spite. Which is quite inspirational, really.

If you have food at the moment, and shelter, and heat, take that as a positive at the moment. Every day, add to that positive jar instead of the despair. You've got others in this country who are sickened by this too, so you're not alone. Even in full nanny states, there is always cracks of freedom (underground sometimes or not), so even if you're getting punched in the gut, don't feel like you're a total slave. You only become one when you completely submit to their doctrine.

Stay strong, fellow kiwi's. Worse times may be coming, but this isn't the apocalypse yet, so there's always hope that there will be a reprieve.
:semperfidelis:
I did say "by law", for a reason :P

We're in for some tough times though.

Time to harden up.

You raise a very good point that I'll have to consider. I tend to ignore American issues, as our country has very different problems but propaganda is propaganda, nationality has no bearing on its effectiveness.
If I can also offer a little more perspective: I don't know what your opinion is of our previous president, Donald Trump, but he ironically brought about what we would call actual progress during his time in office here. Much of his policymaking, which involved a lot of government bloat being cut out surgically in ways that still preserved what was good while removing everything that burdened ordinary Americans in their pursuits of a strong economy, border enforcement, military planning, etc. It was the first time in decades I ever saw us experience true prosperity, despite what our insane corporate media here may have said otherwise about Orange Man. That all of course got ruined quick once COVID came onto scene, and once Biden was dubiously installed. Now everything that sucked about Democrat-run states and cities here is turning once-glorious first-world places like New York and California into inhospitable nightmares, while states like Florida, Texas, etc. are largely thriving with freedoms under their respective Republican governorships.

All of this happened fast enough that ordinarily apolitical people like me noticed the night and day difference of a Trump presidency versus a Biden circus act. I want the Orange Man back, because Biden is in a serious parallel to Trudeau and is actively trying to "Wag The Dog" a war with fucking Russia as we speak.

Just wanted to pop in here with a fun fact: Technically, Canada has been in a state of Anarchy since 1931. The Statute of Westminster created a legal framework whereby the the first ministers of each province could unite at a meeting and found a constitutional republic, but they never did so. Instead, the colonial junta that had been in power since pirate days simply continued the pantomime leaderless shitshow that's continued to the present day. Every Canadian remains one by power of force. Trudeau is just a mad ancap lad.

If this is the inevitable result of liberal politics, count me out. Liberalism is not progressive. Progression is the betterment of us all, at our cost, to provide a better future for those less fortunate.

You have the "State Media" which not only parrots the government, but provides analysis for them.
Anyone who merely questions the state on a large platform, or in person, is now considered a threat.
To a portion of the public, if you step outside the lines of "acceptable rhetoric" you are branded a non-person.
The state turns a blind eye to people who work in the states interest.

Now that doesn't sound very much like Democracy, or Liberalism, or Progressivism. Sounds a lot like some early stage collectivism.

The Canadian Geese vs the police.
When u honk into the clown world, the clown world honks back.
loving the queen of the anglosphere is just ggilf simping.

When you bark commands, your dogs are the one who follow.
When the dogs think your commands insulting, you fall.

I don't like him as a person, however I'd have to be retarded to say he wasn't anti-war and anti-establishment. I don't like his views, nor his capacity for sycophants... but he clearly pissed off the powers that be. I'll give him credit for it.

The only way this really really ends is if the next Conservative PM, immediately upon taking office, invokes the Emergencies Act and starts throwing lefty protest organizers and facilitators into jail. Be a member of an organization that fundraises bail for muh native protesturs when they inevitably break shit? Go to jail. Be a lawyer working to get them bail and get the charges swept under the rug? Go to jail. Work as an organizer, getting people into the street or to the pipeline or whatever? Go to jail. Help provide them with any kind of material aid whatsoever? Go to jail. Be involved in any way, past being a warm body in the crowd, of citizens freely associating and organzing to exercise their political rights? Go to jail.

NPCs will rediscover the importance of political freedoms with unsurprising speed when it is their ox being gored. If this isn't decisively repudiated it will be the future of every locus of dissent that is too embarrassing, or infuriating, to the government of the day.

So-called "progressives" today advocate for policies that only "benefit" very tiny but loud minority groups, and most of the problems they want to solve are made up completely or misunderstood.

Also, the time to "live and let live" regarding Da Gays™ has passed or is nearing its closure. They're now wanting to groom our kids into taking HRT and becoming "sex positive" in kindergarten. No, I'm not just "parroting" some Q Anon shit - I have eyes to see and ears to hear, plus I barely even now what Q is. Do they have a website aggregate or something? I don't even know.

I'm a strong liberty/individual rights guy, but I have to admit I'm feeling the seductive pull of an authoritarian-right state at the moment.

It would be a disaster in the long run, but the schadenfreude I'd feel as they unpersoned, debanked, and imprisoned every last one of these smug leftist fucks who couldn't just leave us alone would almost make it worth it.
