I tried starting his Sifu LP, and the first 10 minutes are some pre-ramble and menus, and he talks about how he's all about hard games and haters who bring up Arkham "dont know me".

Woolie what the fuck does that mean. You didn't fucking understand or get the combat in Arkham at all. Infact you still think its some kind of rhythm game combat but you can mash out. (yes i am aware the combat itself does have a rhythm when your doing it right but he seems to think its actually like some kind of rhythm game) You completely failed to grasp the basics of how that worked and it clearly tarnished your experience with it and based on that people can clearly see the same thing happening again with sifu. Woolie's Everhood part 9 video just went up. Its 2 hours, 20 minutes. All of a single boss fight. He still doesn't beat it by the end. In the first couple minutes, he says the fight is easier than he expected.

The fight looks difficult watching Woolie, but I looked up other videos of it, and it seems pretty trivial when you use the game's main mechanic, which... think using bombs in a bullet hell to destroy all the bullets, but Woolie doesn't use bombs. Kind of like knowing how to parry or jump over enemies in Arkham. But I dont know Woolie. I can't tell him what to do.

Listening to the podcast cause i'm bored when Woolie and Pat start talking about the "morality of everhood" and that woolie spent over 30 minutes arguing with Reggie about it and will release it as it own video. Who asked for this?

Spoiler: everhood twist spoilers

In the everhood world everyone has been immortal for thousands of years which eventually leads to people going insane and shit, while also stopping the cycle of reeincarnation. Your silent protagonist has to power to kill people so he must kill EVERYONE to restart everything from zero.

Since the game, IN IT'S IN-UNIVERSE RULES THAT DONT APPLY TO REAL LIFE, portrays these deaths as "necessary", for better or worse, Woolie and Pat spend almost an hour saying "The message of the game is that GENOCIDE IS GOOD! WHAT THE FUCK?!"

tl;dr: Wait for the Attack on titan to end so they can spend 2 hours saying the mangaka is an holocaust supporter or something.

PS: Be warned, i almost stopped listening because Pat's dog (?) kept snoring very loud during that section, to the point i was starting to think Pat gave the dog the mic on purpose.

No you don’t understand, he saw on twitter his friend say how physically repulsed she was seeing Rex all the time (even though you can swap him out for someone else anytime during the game) so therefor he also agrees it’s a bad game. It’s a classic story he has to tell every single time Xenoblade 2 comes up to support his shit argument for a game he didn’t even really play. Disregard that it sold well, got good reviews, has a fantastic dlc, and even had a character get in smash. Anime games are bad and you must be some disgusting awful perv to like those kinds of games.

Also I had no idea he never even beat Xenoblade 1. Why even bother saying anything since he obviously doesn’t care about the series.

lol no, you see, it's not bad because it's british it's bad because of one (admitely true) funny scream Rex made at the reveal trailer and went viral on twitter.

The worst part is that the game DOES have a lot of weak english delivery but it's not fair to shit on the english VAs when it turned out they had (allegedly) zero direction, almost no context and no retakes. But no, Pat thinks it's bad because of THIS ONE 5 second clip (remember his "lame once = lame forever" mentality).

What i mean is, even when Pat is "right", he is wrong because he acts smug and smart about why stuff he hates (and never tried) is terrible when in reality his arguments are always petty and uninformed.

Pat is the kind of person who unironically forms his videogame opinion around dunkey videos and thinks he's smart for it. It's technically a valid opinion and criticism but it's such a pathetic stance that you deserve to be mocked for it.

I like XC2 a lot and dislike the dub, but I hugely appreciate that they gave every region its own accent. Very fun touch, even if I usually dislike localisation changes in general.
