No real concrete info, they're doing a good job of OpSec. All I know is they claim it's bigger than the first convoy and will be coming from all over Canada much in the same manner as the American Convoy will be. They will be escorting the Alaskan convoy through Canada as well so they can join with the rest of the American convoy.

The difference however is that they’ll shut off their brain at the first sign of pushback from educators and convince themselves that they were wrong for thinking what they did before getting “corrected.” I think what determines an NPC is who is able to break their conditioning and make desicions based on their own intuition and sense of morality and who simply defers said intuition and morality to “experts.”

You're right about that, especially parents and their kids thinking it was fine. I hope most of those people weren't there since it's a weekday though. There are a lot of people who probably underestimated the police response and are regretting it right now.

Not gonna go full doomer just yet because no matter what happens, even if the convoy is broken up, the political, social and economic consequences will be felt in the long-term, and you’re kidding yourself if you think this will be swept under the rug by 2023.

This is just the beginning. Trudeau is choosing to win a battle and lose the war. He clearly is not a student of history because otherwise he wouldn't have chosen this path. It is hard to overstate the significance of this week's events, both for Canada, and western society in general.

A message has been sent to the Canadian working class that they are subjects, not citizens, that they have no voice in their governance, and that their natural rights are subject to infringement at the whims of a group that rules over them without accountability or due process. The hypocrisy and cruelty of the government is on full display and is impossible to ignore.

Many Canadian truckers that are not part of this protest, but that agree with it are now likely to participate in a labor strike. The government can easily arrest the truckers in Ottawa, but it has no capability to punish striking truckers who choose to simply sit at home. While that is all taking place, the court of public opinion is going to begin processing the new state of Canadian society, in which trust has completely disintegrated. This is all amidst a backdrop of a pre-existing trucker shortage which predates Covid.

Owner-operator truckers tend to have significant capital flows in their businesses that will enable them to have a personal financial runway potentially of multiple years. This is a war of attrition that they are well equipped to win, and the government has handed them motivation to do so on a silver platter.

I agree that it’s wise not to spend too much time ruminating about shit you can’t control, but unfortunately I don’t think there is much time left for any of us to live that way. Shit is going to get real no matter what, and it will be increasingly difficult to dissociate yourself from it. Optimistically we have ~10 years left to live anything resembling a normal life.

If everyone were to adopt this view, the powers that be would have free reign to centralize power. Within a few generations we will own nothing, have no privacy, and be happy… because there will be no one left who remembers anything different.
