The unspoken assumption is that somehow women are marginalized in sports in a way that has nothing to do with biology. I just want someone to challenge these people to prove that. Prove that women need their own separate sports in a way that doesn't imply that trans women should be excluded. Otherwise, why shouldn't someone's race give them access to women's competitions, if that's the competition for "marginalized" people, and not specifically about biological differences?

It's so deliberately disingenuous, but at the same time I do wonder if any of these people have actually taken the time to think through the implications of anything they say.

I once had a (male) colleague argue with a straight face that women's sports records are only lower than men's because they lack the financial incentive to improve, since men's sports make so much more money.
It was like watching someone regurgitate a script he couldn't have possibly believed in, just to come off as appropriately progressive to the people we were with (and no, he wasn't being sarcastic).

The problem is that these people see the statement "men are stronger than women, on average" as an attack they have to defend against. But it isn't; it's ok for people to be biologically different. The only people it really impacts are competitive female athletes who have to put up with this shit, smiling and pretending they just participated in a fair contest.

They should either put their money where their mouths are and integrate *all* sports into a unified male-female league and see how catastrophically that fails, or do the obvious thing and continue to categorize people biologically.

They're right, but our twisted culture thinks it's bad now to resort to such reductionism when dismissing obviously stupid and ridiculous ideas. It's like a fucking toddler who won't stop asking "why?" no matter what you say to them. Suddenly you're the bad guy if you just say "shut up and eat your sandwich before I throw you into that volcano."

It's admittedly pretty effective. If you've ever engaged a creationist, hoaxer or flat earther in "debate," did it last very long? Did you convince them they were wrong? Did you eventually just get frustrated with the braindead stupidity of it all and either politely excuse yourself or tell them off and call them retards? And the most important question -- have you ever tried it again? For most people, the answer is "no." And how does one of them react now when they try to debate you and you blow them off? They act like they're right and you know you're wrong and won't debate them to avoid embarrassing yourself.

Everybody "just knows" those three groups are tards now and none of us bother correcting the idiots making asses of themselves. We only step in to correct them when they start getting in the way of useful activities (and seeing Buzz Aldrin punch out that Bart asshole was so satisfying) and otherwise just ignore and laugh at them.

Unfortunately, trannies are pushing their shit much harder and actually making inroads, so people are having to (slowly) sharpen those debate skills to start punishing lazy thinking again. Dammit. I wish just a few more people with some amount of authority would just say "no" to these fuckheads. Just a few times would be enough. You are very much correct, but one of the most successful tactics they employ is the Motte and Bailey. They cloak the ridiculous demands and theories behind easy to defend empty rhetoric. This works especially well on social media which is built on precisely that at this point. Most normies would frown at the statement 'men have no inherent advantages over women in sport'. They will trot out that ridiculous argument until it gets attacked, at which point they retreat and the much more defensible (if empty) statement is offered: "We just want trans kids to be able to play sports". Someone who has no clue would think that's a perfectly fair thing to fight for. Everyone should be able to play sports right?

My own country is about to pass a law that bans conversion therapy. The vast majority of people hear that and think preachers trying to 'turn' gay people back to straight. The problem is that activists have managed to make this law apply not just to sexual orientation but als 'gender identity' (no, it's not defined in the text of the law what that means). So the public at large thinks all is well while the activists in the background are already planning lawsuits targeting therapists who don't toe the line and may tell 'trans' kids that puberty blockers are a bad idea.
