It's called a pension plan. The money is decent but that chance to get 75%-90% of my salary for the rest of my life when I retire is very tempting. Most cops in pozzed cities will just bite their lip and follow the orders of their city council. Sheriff departments are better but still are vulnerable to political pressure. That's one of the reasons I left my department in Southern California and moved to Idaho.

This was all priced in, so to say. The whole goal was to provoke Trudeau and his goons into a violent crackdown after 3 weeks of a harmless block parties. People got arrested, sure.
