Wokeism could best be called "Progressive fascism" (the capital P is obligatory). I believe it's a more apt term than cultural Marxism. Fascism is a totalitarian, socialist ideology in which every facet of culture is conquered to serve of the interests of the State. Corporation and State are combined into a single entity. This describes the American Democrat establishment to a T. The Progressive part is that their cultural norms are hyperprogressivist to serve as a form of social control whereas normal fascism uses right wing cultural norms.

Ayn Rand said that when fascism comes to America it will have a thin veneer of communism. She was a loony (IMO) autistic BDSM fetishist but she often hit the nail right on the head.

I think of Globohomo as being like inverted fascism. Fascism uses revolutionary energy to reinforce the existing social system, with heavy government control of the economy, and everything serves the state. Globohomo does the same thing, except instead of using the majority to bully all the minorities (state Christianity, White supremacy, etc.) it flips it on its head by taking everything minority and making of that a privileged class.

Another way I view it is that cultural Marxism started out as a coherent thing (we need to tear down existing social institutions to prepare the world for communism), but along the way it both got so radical and so coopted that it lost the plot and generations grew up who didn't understand the ultimate point of it. Instead of race war and destroying the family and all that being in service of Communism, it became the point in and of itself.

If you choose to have children you should be fully financially responsible for them if you have the means to. Taxpayers should not have to subsidize the lifestyle choices of parents unless they're in some kind of enormous financial difficulty and it will have an adverse effect on the health of the child.

In short, paid parental leave/subsidized childcare for anyone not in poverty is an enormous waste of money which could be going to far more worthy social causes than an instagram mommy who spends 14 minutes with her kid every day while she spends the rest of her time drinking wine and posting pictures of herself on the internet while boasting about "work/life balance" that everyone else is paying for.

Your opinion is unpopular because it's retarded. Without children there is nobody to take care of you in old age. You might save your money, ie give up some consumption now for a claim on society's future resources, but there still has to be somebody to physically harvest the crop, make your widgets, and all of that. So if you're not having kids (and don't have a reason to) then you're a leech.

People who sperg against pit bulls and/or circumcision are worse than vegans. There’s no other topic that draws the level of single-minded hatred they do, and both those topics will invariably dominate the conversation if even a tangential aspect is brought up. With things like being vegan or trans or a cyclist, it will be brought up at inappropriate times but somehow fails to reach the self-righteousness that pit bulls or circumcision seem to inspire. Any validity when arguing against either topic is immediately thrown aside because of how smug the detractors get.

Long time lurker, first post hey everybody hope you are all doing well.
Maybe an unpopular or popular opinion here but The Simpsons Movie is fucking terrible it's a bad story and aggressively unfunny.

I'd like to also add the episode of the Simpsons where Lisa meets Michelle Obama might be one of the worst episodes of the Simpsons made before 2015 and can work as a shining example of why the show is considered bad now ex: Celebrity worship, unfunny, poorly written, Lisa not being a little kid sister who happens to be intelligent but is now a "genius" that doubles as the writers soapbox etc.

Tldr: Simpsons movie fucking sucks

Lisa is maybe the only character in the show who got so Flanderized even Flanders feels sorry for her.

There are two connected islands and one of them is the penguins on rocks. The other one is a cozy little mini country that looks like Scotland and acts like New Zealand. I would really hate to see the Federicos and Florencias jack it all up. They would turn it into a hellhole in five minutes flat.
