15 minutes in so far and she talked about being unable to medicate her menhera shit properly because it hurts her body, the way she talked about it feels like it's more than just depression and those rrats about autism might be actually true.
I feel that her ability to work different models is part of her charm. It's one of her talents, rather than being a hinderance it's something she can do well. As I recall, she makes them for fun sometimes? The focus isn't so much on her character, but on her as a creator.
In terms of branding, she already has a brand: Pipkin Pippa. It's her more famous account, it has the backing of a (small) agency and everything that entails. If one of her accounts blows up and becomes a 1 million subscriber channel overnight, it's better if it's Pippa. An agency's job is to maximize profits and minimize trouble, a protection that indies do not have, unless they're willing to do everything themselves.
She is certainly aware of this, which is why she suppresses her personal drama and plays up her role (schizo shitposter) as Pippa. There is no need for her to concern over branding and popularity on an account that she operates for fun.
That being said, it would be nice if she brought back the old models sometimes.
Missed DCL and left for 30 min (longer than I meant to). Only caught 5 songs since I thought stream would be the usual nearly 3 hrs, Elira wasn't feeling well so get well soon. Favorites I heard Happy Synthesizer, Just be Friends, and Shoujo Rei. What a gorgeous singing voice she has.
Yeah but you can literally say that about anyone. What, then? She should only be friends with her paying customers? Or other idols who don’t interact with dangerous penis-having troublemakers?
I know that's hyperbole, but if you go with "only" as in exclusive, people in the same business as you having first hand experience of the same shit happening to you are probably a better "fit" than some expats you hang out with out of convenience because there aren't that many other options in a foreign country that require more personal effort than usual.
heck gen5 alone would probably more than happy to hang out with her, even if it's just getting wasted with lamy. botan is always chill af and probably has good advice when needed, polka seems like a total bro behind the scenes, nene having the nenergy to take her mind of things. certainly beats getting drunk on boxed wine alone tweeting stupid shit.
there's a reason hololive works the way it does, might as well make use of it.
Dude the Trashtaste channel has over 1 million subs and each vid has 1 million views at least. Their individual channels have at least 2.6 mil subs each. They each stream on twitch apart from YouTube as well. Syd and Karen are both basic weeb white girls and get along great. They aren't using her. It's something called friendship.
by that logic all her former friends should be total besties, now that one of them "made" it she can pull them up in return, yet we all know that isn't what happened. that's why you don't try to apply logic to human relationships. as for "using" someone, that can be fucking everything, and it's not uncommon for people to suddenly forget your name if you stop being a peer. someone being a roommate for one of the biggest vtuber companies in the world is quite different than some white girl rapper from abroad, and we already know what some of them think about hololive.
most people aren't dumb enough trying to tell anyone who they shouldn't hang out with. however people do care about their oshi (that's why the "muh jealousy" fags can fuck right off since they obviously still don't get the difference between waifu and oshi), and the outside perspective is always different than sitting in your own bubble - not better since the outside view comes with it's own limitations, just different, and sometimes that's all it takes.
whatever people think about TT (imo anyone wearing a fakku shirt unironically needs to neck himself), the gist of it is mostly suggesting not being stupid, since she has been burned in the past by her won admission (and in addition to whatever baggage she carries around). whatever she does in the end is up to her anyway and always was.
even if it sounds like concernfagging, as fun as it is to say "I told you so" and having new drama to laugh at after shit happens, there are people who still care about the person behind the "le dorky animu reaper", parasocial relationships aren't binary (for the dipshits, there are grades between "who?" and "I wanna chain her to a radiator in my basement").
now, as a palate cleanser have a baby princess speak dog latin:
Hey, since we’re talking about Myth’s states, anyone know where Ina’s from? She’s doing a brunch stream rn so it must be late morning/early afternoon rn where she is. Rn in Hawaii it’s noon so it would be neat if she’s also an Islander.
People need to watch the actual fucking streams if they didn't know Calli was a sheltered likely upper middle class white girl from Texas for more than half her life. She did theater, ballet, and went to a Christian private school ffs.
Amalee got tilted enough by a single twitch comment calling vtubers cringe that she made an equally cringe tiktok or whatever the fuck short highlighting it, so twitter tards took to poking her more lmao
She gets titled at everything, she was complaining about people announcing they are leaving the stream, prompting it to happen more. Such to be expected for bandwagoners that spent months vtweeting before actually debuting.
She got tilted by people enjoying her singing so much that when they comment things like "still waiting for (insert song)" she made a tweet saying how people shouldn't comment that or some other phrase because it stresses her out. I actually don't understand how it could stress you out at all but that's just me. Maybe you should just be happy people want to listen to you at all, instead of trying to police their language. I believe she said you should phrase it like "I hope you cover (song)" as if the sentiment behind it is any different. Both phrases are pointing towards anticipation of something you may or may not do.
Marine also had that right, where she is not allowed to speak loudly for a couple of weeks as a form of therapy?
Damn these girls either have mental issues or health issues, truly Yagoo's house of broken girl.

probably more notably this is what Aki had as well which she had surgery for and was out for quite a while.
Wouldn't chock it up to "yagoo's house of broken girl" territory as this is really more of a workplace injury kind of situation. Vocal Chord Nodules are caused by repeated damage to the vocal chords, this can be common in singers to the point that they are also sometimes called "Singer's nodules".
So singing, streaming long periods of times, basically just frequently straining your voice causes it. All things a lot of streamers in general do. You can go the marine route and try and treat it by resting your voice (you basically have to try to avoid even just talking while the nodules heal) but that process is pretty difficult when streaming is your profession. so you end up with cases like Aki where surgery is taken as a solution.
So...apparently Karen got her issues with her friends squared away? That's great to hear after the doom-and-gloom summaries I've seen of the stream. I'm glad she's doing well.

Singing with bad technique or singing songs out of your range are big contributors. Pop music has taught people to attempt singing things that can only be achieved with autotune or a recording studio.

vocal nodules are a common occurrence among people who put a lot of stress in their vocal cord.
You know, by doing things like streaming for hours everyday, or singing for hours everyday.
