I'm not worried personally since Kiwifarms is the only place I've publically stated any opinion on the issue, but I also find that a little hard to believe. I certainly believe that people who donated, and the protestors themselves have had their accounts frozen however.

Believe it or not, there are a lot of people here capable of more nuance than "my side = good therefore everyone else = wrong". Watching BLM tards getting beaten up because they're retarded is never not funny, but that doesn't mean I unquestioningly support the police in all things (and I really would prefer nobody is beaten up at all). Near everything about modern policing is arse-backwards, whether in the US, Canada, France, or right where I live. Robert Peel is spinning in his grave at such speeds that they're planning to use him as an alternative energy source.

On top of that, there is a difference between a bunch of "socialist" larpers who burn down cities, destroy everything they touch, cover up literal murders and generally encourage rape, violence, drug abuse and anarchy in the name of "the workers"; and this rising up of the actual workers against oppressive and intolerable impositions by the state. In the former, the police are equally retarded and add to the hilarity of the situation. In the latter, the police agents of the state who are acting to suppress and brutalise the working class.

I'm of the opinion that police are indispensable as a peacekeeping force and no more than that.

You can be as libertarian as you like, but humans are awful at self-regulating. Throw in a high population density and vices that result from unrestrained liberty and you're pretty fucked if there's nobody to clean it up.

No, it's deserved. Being one of those "university intellectuals" Ted mentions, Jordan Peterson only seems to provide solutions and insight, when really he is just long-windedly saying very simple, obvious stuff. It's nothing truly profound. While he touches on a lot of topics and uses a wide scope of information to make points, he doesn't present any real new perspectives.

Another point I'll make is that, for someone who is fancied as an intellectual, he refuses to acknowledge ZOG influence that permeates our society, and seems to bring up the holocaust an awful lot. Any serious intellectual who is honest with himself would never push that narrative so much as he does, You could try to make the argument that he knows what will happen if he dares say anything that paints jews in a bad light, but then you would have to justify just how often he brings up the holocaust. Which is all the time. So, there's two possiblities.

First possibility is that he isn't actually as smart as he portrays himself. Which I don't believe to be true. He's too articulate for that, and a professor for fuck's sake. However, one of his videos on the convoy heavily implied that the protestors did not have clear demands, that some would go home soon and the more "extreme" ones would stay. Also he's a professor for being good at psychology, not history, so the third option him being smart in one thing getting him accustomed to speaking with authority, and then pontificating on other subjects that he's out of his depth in.

So to give my personal example. I donated $25, I went to Ottawa on February 8. I have posted on Facebook publicly about this. I've called my MP's office (including yesterday during the police violence. When an elderly veteran got shoved into the snow). I went to my MP's office directly.

My account is still not frozen. Admittedly I had the foresight to drain most of my bank account before this. My Wealthsimple account is intact (haven't checked Questrade) This government wants you to be fearful of it. That's the only way it survives. Don't cower in fear of Trudeau.

Call your MPs. Make your displeasure widely known. Don't let Trudeau hide behind some opinion poll saying "Well most Canadians support fascism! So I'm right!"

There is something fundamentally broken in the spirit of most Canadians. I firmly believe the convoy folks are the exception; not the rule. Most of the people I know are closer to those faggots on Ottawa city council than the protestors. I don't know if it's because of our education system, or 50 years of watching our own people get demographically replaced, or the 30 years of idly standing by as our own governments and institutions pushed degenerate shit on us and told us we were trespassers in our own country, but the average Canadian is completely and utterly passive. Everyone here just listens to whatever self-imposed authority is above them, and there's a pervasive sense that we should all be grateful to our betters that they allow us to live in relative peace and freedom at all, instead of that being a god-given right of all free human beings--note that fundamental difference between us and the Americans.

The moderately wealthy don't want anything to interrupt their mediocrely good time (no one truly wealthy stays in Canada, except a few months a year for optics) and everyone else is trying to scrape together the $2,000 rent to pay their Saudi or Chinese landlord, or the $2.00 a liter to put gas in their car. Watching someone get trampled by a police horse won't even move the needle for most of them, even if they're nominally conservative. There's a pervasive selfishness that if something is not happening to them or their families, it may as well not exist. The only average people who care about anything at all here are the people who are paid to care; the permanent bureaucrat and non-profit class, and they have been so utterly corrupted by globohomo as to be virtually irredeemable.

The exception to not caring, as many people have pointed out, are """the approved causes""". Canadians love to perform for people, because it makes them feel like they are doing something when they are not, and it gives those non-profits something they can point their board to to justify their jobs. There is zero risk in going to a BLM rally here, no matter how badly you are behaved--they put nothing on the line. I can't stress enough how many Canadians just go along with something because they feel they're supposed to because "that's what we do in a polite society".

So, next election, no one's even going to remember this. Instead, it's going to be more of Trudeau bribing people with their own money, autistically screeching about climate change, and accusing Pierre Polievre of being a racist, sexist, anti-gay crusader, and because Conservative party members are Canadians too, they will engage Trudeau on Trudeau's terms.

You need to understand that most Canadians are like Trudeau, not like the truckers: smug, transparently virtuous, performative and selfish. Trudeau may not win, but he will get his 30-35% of the vote from the massive civil service he continues to bribe with tax dollars and the overstuffed unions that make them up, and bored housewives frustrated they haven't done enough "good deeds" in their lives, just like he always does.

Sounds like the progressive utopia up north is already here.
