I don't know if this has been said before, but the troon athletes are being enabled, not because of fear of canceling or whatever, but because the universities they represent genuinely enable them.

Lia Thomas and that gayden come from Penn State and Yale, these are old, more than well established, prestigious universities which can basically do whatever they want and kick a student out on their own basis with zero consequences.

You cannot cancel these schools, and it doesn't matter whatever Twitter campaigns happen as a consequence.
These universities wouldn't give a shit about a dumbass dropping out if one day Penn/Yale decided that "no troons allowed in sports", in fact the place the dumbass took up would immediately be taken by someone out of the hundreds of thousands who will drop everything to attend one of these prized schools.

I've always found it infuriating. I'm fat and look just like my dad now that I've lost some weight and reached my 40s. (It's super wierd to look in the mirror and see my dad look back) I was in a Facebook group with a fat, ugly Troon who was constantly getting asspats and I hated thinking that people might possibly think we were in any way comparable in looks.

Even looking at them and thinking "at least I'm prettier than he is" feels insulting to me. Because he's not a woman and I am. I may not be an attractive woman, but I'm still a woman.

I don't know, I don't feel like I'm explaining it well. But even when I was a handmaiden it wasn't because of how I felt about my own looks. It was more about doing The Right Thing because It Was The Right Thing (tm) rather than believing they were really women.

I disagree, that's trying to paint with too broad a brush. A lot of the detransitioners were lured in by these same activists who now operate at every level. They (the activists) dominate social media, universities and now also large parts of the medical establishment. Some people just are unlucky enough to get swept up in those bubbles, they never really stood a chance. I am willing to give them a pass because of that.

Majorly agreed. The only thing universities understand is money. So either they lose enrollements, a high-power donor stops donating, or someone phyically destroys school property, they won't care.

(And before anyone mentions it, yes, I'm aware they have insurance. But do enough damage and it affects their deductible rate and ability to get coverage.)
