Technically he does, but in reality he's already assured these new powers. So long as the NDP vote in favour of the act on Monday (which they are at this moment) he has full control over anything and everything to do with the Canadian constitution. Although this could change between now and Monday expect all of Trudeau's hopes and dreams to be confirmed by his literal cocksuckers on Monday and Canada to become a banana republic in all but name. Remember, never vote for constitutional monarchy, it always ends up screwing you in the end.

It will 100% extend past Ottawa as soon as they're able to quash the protest. It became clear when Trudeau was conflating the Ottawa situation and the border blockades. He did that deliberately so the public sentiment would be primed for it to be a country-wide issue rather than just the capital.

Lots of pepper spray and aggression but no beatings on the level of yesterday as far as I'm aware. The cops seem like they're getting antsy now and even more aggressive than earlier tho. Expect some arrests soon I imagine. The crowd is also being less nice lol

I don't believe in earthly justice, but if the good guys ever win, decades and decades from now there will be 90 year-old grandpas dragged before a tribunal and told that "following orders" is no defense.

I mean, not that I'd imagine she necessarily would even if she could (though I would hope that a woman who grew up during WWII and witnessed people fleeing totalitarianism first-hand would be repulsed by what's happening).

New Jersey. Port authority, chemical manufacturing plants, oil refineries and an air port are all within one square mile of each other. It could hypothetically be blocked up by truckers but the response for fucking around near there would get you drone struck as a real deal dangerous terror threat.
