On the 15th of December 2021, KiwiFarms user @Falling Star
discovered a review of Dr Gallagher's work on Transbucket that included a Reddit username. According to posts on the account, Dr Gallagher had operated on the girl when she was only 13 years old. She said Dr Gallagher was the only one willing to do the surgery at that age, presumably every other doctor turned her down because she was a mentally ill child.
A
terven news site found the post and had one of their writers pose as the mother of a 13 year old girl who wanted a double mastectomy, they reported that the clinic quoted $10,000 for the surgery and tried to schedule a consultation. Dr Gallagher's own site says she is willing to operate on minors.
If multiple other doctors aren't willing to do the surgery there is a good reason for it. The fact she clearly ignores that reason, does it anyway and brags about it raises all kinds of red flags. This woman is clearly a narcissist and an incompetent. Reviews aside, anybody who uses the methods she does to get patients, and takes patients nobody else is willing to is never competent. She wouldn't need to do that if she was. She's behaving like a predator.
That said, this kind of behavior with doctors is no joke. Sooner or later she's going to have a serious fuckup and when she does it'll cost her her medical license at best, and likely bankrupt her in the inevitable lawsuits to follow. Somehow I get the feeling she does a ton of shit her insurance company would refuse to cover if there was any kind of malpractice or general fuckups

Uh....What kind of idiot doctor would post something like that. No, seriously. Its essentially admitting that you tried to carry out an unethical surgery at a hospital and were told by said hospital that what you wanted to do was unethical....and shes admitting to this publicly and acting self righteous about it. How the fuck did she not get reported for this? If shes trying to carry out unethical surgeries and the hospital has knowledge of it - which it clearly does, they're supposed to report that shit

I really got the impression that she has learned exactly what these patients want to hear and lays it on thick.
That in itself is a massive red flag. Doctors aren't supposed to be manipulating their patients and telling them what they want to hear in order to have major surgery carried out. One might even argue that such behavior automatically invalidates any consent and should automatically land her in front of an ethics tribunal

Gallagher and her staff just relentlessly raved about how great and perfect everything was and how any complication was super normal and happened to everyone.
If she thinks complications are 'super normal' and are to be expected 'with everyone' shes a scary level of incompetent. Yes, complications happen but they should not be happening with literally all of your patients and shouldn't be seen as something you should expect from all of your patients. Thats proof you're incompetent

Now , I’m not a doctor, and neither is she really, but I’m pretty sure there are valid medical concerns associated with performing elective surgeries on the obese
So she is literally putting out proof that she ignores the very real fact that obesity is a serious risk factor for this kind of surgery and explicitly stating she ignores the fact that her patients have already been explicitly told this by other surgeons who were unwilling to operate because it would be putting them at risk
She is posting proof of her ignoring proper medical procedures and the risks associated with them. Liability waivers and insurance will not protect her if something happens to one of the people she operates on who have been told, and informed her of being told, they were too obese for the surgery. She is supposed to know this. This is why the other surgeons would not operate. This is legit malpractice and incredibly unethical behavior. There is no way she does not know what she is doing in those situations is not legal. I'd like to know where she is performing these particular operations, because no hospital would allow it for the same reasons the previous surgeons didn't. It makes me wonder if that post about a hospital refusing her access on ethical grounds did so because she mentioned she wanted to perform surgery knowing the patient had been told they didn't qualify for safety reasons due to obesity...which further makes me wonder if shes deliberately withholding that information from hospitals she performs surgeries at. If said hospitals ever found out about that she would have her license suspended pending a medical board review on the spot and would very likely face charges for it, especially if there were any complications - which interestingly enough seem to happen a disturbingly large percentage of the time on people she operates on, which raises a few eyebrows in itself
This woman is a fucking lunatic. Sooner or later she's going to end up losing her medical license, getting sued into oblivion and probably doing a few years in jail over her incredibly unethical behavior. Especially seeing as how she puts out those absurd tiktoks and pictures about how shes getting denied access to hospitals for her ethics. Nobody in their right mind would work at her practice, as that is asking for trouble when shit goes down for her
