I haven't watched mouse very much lately so I'm out of the loop, did she just wake up a few days ago and decide to begin a conquest of twitch or what? Seems like she's had a subathon going for weeks now.

It was supposed to be done for her birthday, but there was a plasma shortage and she was sick for several weeks. This is mostly the result of that uncapped subathon, every 5$ worth of subs/donos/etc add 15 seconds to the timer, and she's been going for over two straight weeks now.

I see, more power to her lol I think it's pretty cool that she was one of the OGs and now is finally reaping the rewards. In a very short amount of time she's went from vtubing as an escape to realizing her dream of being a performer (although she's had to change her "stage") and making a very generous living from it. She can actually afford her medical care now and will be able to leave her daughter and family set up nicely. And to top it off, she has went from being mostly unknown this time a couple years ago to being a top twitch streamer and I would estimate easily the most popular and influential member of vshojo and the western vtuber scene as a whole.

I dont undestand the deal of watching her even sleeping (maybe they leave their pc or mobile perpetually on) but hey, im not part of her stream demographic anymore, more than 90% of actual Mouse fanbase come from post Vshojo era, before that you can tell her content was way different apart from her degeneracy. Im just worried that she gets too drunk on the fame she has now, forgets how she started and the fanbase she left when she was at 1k or less avg.

Mousey success its a mix on many, but many variables that cannot be replicated just by good will. I mean just to remind: Digitrevx thought that just by pairing YFU baby & Melody, the former will get the same success as ironmouse, and that mentality its shared by many aspiring vtubers trying to replicate what she did, just to later fail miserably.

Teaching English in Japan is like the most generic gajin occupation though, it's serious to some but most use it just as means to stay in the country without understanding enough about the language and culture to find a "normal" job. Some of those companies would literally hire you just for being white.

I unfollowed every vshojo & orbiters with the only exception being mouse and that follow remains since early 2020, still didnt get a free sub. Maybe is karma for disliking her company and the welsh man.
