Should the title be re-worded to expand the scope of the thread?

Lmao no gluten free options and lack of soy products. Plus no peasants to clean after them

I've had the displeasure of dealing with Yalies before. My schadenfreude-boner could be used as an industrial CNC machine right now.

Dire news from the US Intermountain West for all fellow caffeine junkies. The price of a bottle of caffeine pills has shot up 80% in my area. I did not forget a decimal point or typo that number. I at least made it into the parking lot outside before emitting an audible "What the fuck?!" instead of traumatizing the nice little grandma picking up her meds at the next counter.

At least the store had raspberries in stock and they were pretty good.

I dunno if this is Supply Chain related, or Inflation Related (or both..or just the local retail store being a GREEDY FUCKING JEW) but the store I work in replaced "Mozzarella sticks" with "Mozzarella bites" which are literally just bread..with a tiny tiny bite of Mozzarella in them.

Walmart near me never has sandwich meats in stock and the shelves of corn chips are always pretty bare.

My other store in town doesn't seem to be short on anything but they have a lot of items at 2 per customer.

Also I haven't been able to get my dog's favorite dry food in like a year. Luckily there is one other brand that is acceptable for her.

50/50 if that's because of the supply chain or just walmart being walmart. The walmart where I live has always had barer shelves than the average supermarket in Venezuela.

Yeah that could be it. I don't usually go grocery shopping in Walmart because the other store has a better selection (and is also cleaner and not as trashy) in general.

My go to meat, outside of beef hearts, is Chicken Breasts and Thighs. Cheapo 3 pound bags of them. Grab a breast, make some grains (rice / noodles / mashed potatoes) and you have a meal. Not great, but, easy.

Well, something's fucked. Breast bags used to be individual breasts, about enough to half fill a quart ziplock bag. Now? They're literally the chicken scraps. I'm sure it's breast meat, but it's coming in pieces that are about 2x the size of chicken nuggets.

Heard the chicken industry was royally fucked this year, but wasn't expecting this sort of mess.

Yeah I needed basic chicken breasts for dinner this week and had to go to three different stores before I found a pack. Welp.

Lost two heads of overpriced cabbage in the past week, the fool things went from fresh to rotten overnight. The meat in stock is always right on the brink of expiration now. I have to freeze it to preserve it if I don't cook it all up right away. Cheese is stale and the most random snacks are gone. Cream for coffee is gone and there is only watery half and half now. My food almost runs out by the middle of the week and I am a short skinny manlet. If I ate hearty I probably would have starved out by now. I don't know how seniors and families with children are getting by. I am going to order a big tub of weight gainer powder from an online bodybuilding place to use as my lunches.

I sure hope the alcohol truckers don't chimp out, I need my fucking brew.

It seriously feels like we're heading back to 18th century territory with how scarce and valuable meat is starting to get. Grilling and frying good cattle meat's going to become a luxury reserved for the wealthy and ranchers again if it keeps getting worse.

Merchants are rubbing their hands. Eat the bugs bigots. Bugs are for goyim, not meat.

The cage free chicken at my local store is at $7 to $10 a pound now. The store brand is still around $4 though.

Greetings from Australia. Moat insane thing I've seen in grocery stores are a serious shortage of eggs. Yknow, the item that has a whole damn wall dedicated to it. I imagine this is related to the Avian Flu. I was forced to buy one of the three cartons total they had (of any brand/type) and the contents of all of them had at least once cracked. They posted a limit of two cartons per customer as well. This annoys me a lot because they feature so heavily in my diet for being very nutritious and just so damm convenient and versatile in dishes.

My friend works as an electrical engineer, providing equipment for people to use on the mining sites. The lead times on ordering various components for his workplace are insane, like over a year. Its so far out you assume theyre just guessing because they dont actually know. Shit is wack. Someone cutting corners on this stuff will get some rock apes killed, I guarantee it.

Went to buy some jeans from my usual place. Just wanted another of the same kind. Nothing fancy. Price increased 15% since the last pair I bought, last year. I pulled out a receipt to verify.

Local chicken went from $4/lb to $5/lb after holding strong for the past couple of years. One of my favorite drinks was completely out of stock for months straight and when I contacted them they actually replied saying they've had issues with their machinery and won't be back in stock for another month or so.

This ain't the 'murica I grew up in.
