Kinda reiterating what’s been said a dozen times already, but it’s BECAUSE we’re loud and belligerent and independent that more extreme measures did not need to be taken.

After all, immediately after any insane overreach that Biden attempted, you had a dozen state governors immediately going “fuck that” and going to the courts to stop him, which worked quickly and effectively. The vaxx mandates were stopped in their tracks within a month or two without ever being implemented, and most of the more minor mandates were simply flagrantly ignored by the populace and law enforcement everywhere that wasn’t a shithole city, which comprises like 99% of America’s land area.
