I think what's going to happen is if you're in Canada you either move to a less awful place or you hunker down. Keep in touch with friends and family. Keep most of your money somewhere else than banks. Be it in your mattress or in some crypto or you spend it on something that keeps value and can be taken with you. Try to form spaces were you can live and speak honestly. Try to enact political change over the next couple of years. If that fails go back to moving the f-out.
I think the protest will end but if we look at what happened in America after the Biden election what's gonna follow is a lot of attempts at grass roots politics.
I don't believe there's any extent Trudeau won't go to to retain power. He'll only be limited by things he can't do or that won't work. Nothing morally.

I get the feeling this isn't going to be effective. Liberals are already in "Why are you making me hit you" mode. Granted they will feel bad but they will scream "The Greater Good" with tears streaming down their faces.

Yeah, it's pretty universally terrible. I only signed up to get into the convoy channels and I've been contacted God knows how many times with investment scams and randoms plying me for information. I used a picture of myself but aged thirty years so I guess they think I'm some dumb boomer lol.

It always has and always will. They protestors gassed themselves up that this is their big moment in the sun. Their time to take down Trudeau and the NeoLib establishment. But it won't be. Watch as they spend the next weeks and months after being pushed out of Ottawa saying they'll be back in bigger numbers. How they'll be victorious next time. But they won't. They had their high water mark with numbers, and won't at all be able to recover that.
It's sort of like January 6 now. They've riled up the establishment against them, and you can be certain the same wave of intelligence gathering and identifying certain protestors would come. And the same arrests for property damage etc. And as a demographic, they're going to be un-representable. The Conservatives now aren't going to tilt their hats into backing these guys. They made arses of themselves. You may have a fringe party here, or a renegade MP/Senator there. But by and large, these guys are gonna be left to dry with no political cover.
It's all just coping and seething from here.

Yeah plus I remember on one group there was a guy trying to play a cuckservative deradicalizer. Saying well you shouldn't foment violence and alternative forms of comms like ham is worrying. I remember telling the dude it's not 2017 anymore it's 2022.
