California already didnthat like 2 years ago. There are already fun fall out from that.

Basically the rules for single family homes is alittle different. And with the yuuge inflation of prices alot of people are selling their sfh rental and its throwing things off.

Elizabeth Warren has been banging that drum for months now. It's hilarious watching a supposed economics lawyer accuse an industry that operates on a razor-thin margin like grocery stores of deliberately ratcheting up prices.

All the blustering about destroying Russia and ending Nord Stream 2 and blistering Russia with crippling, brutal sanctions is going to be hysterical when it all amounts to nothing. I think China backs up Russia on this and Russia doubles down by continuing to back up China on Taiwan. Germany is going to see the weakness, too, and strike back over being an occupied puppet regime for nearly 80 years by saying Nord Stream 2 is still on and go further over to China and Russia and further away from the US sphere of waning influence.
The phony sanctions that Russia has spent a decade protecting itself from will do nothing and Russia gets two more portions of the Ukraine region for free. So much for decisive destruction.

I was promised that there were going to be a bunch of adults in the room? Where are they? The only thing they are going to do is powerlessly fill up their adult undergarments.

Great Britain announced its sanctions today. Boris Johnson is banning three Russian oligarchs (two already sanctioned for building a bridge to Crimea) and five banks that are rumored to hold a portion of their wealth. Make of that what you will.

Oh, and two of these oligarchs are named "Rotenberg". Oy vey.

Having to use China as a middleman isn't the golden ticket around sanctions you think it is. Trust me, doing business with chinks is utter hell, they will put the screws on you and you're going to be making way less off exports than you were without sanctions. To say nothing of the fact that you're now reliant on chinkshit for consumer goods because the wealthy parts of the world are forbidden to sell to you.
It won't hurt the oligarchy, who already have most of their assets squirreled away in the western world as it is, but it dramatically lowers the quality of life for the average Russian and foments domestic unrest. Putin may think he's secure enough to ride the tide of upset proles (and that may be true, his cult of personality is something else), but sanctions are a pretty legit threat.
