Fucking lol'd:

I don't think Capcom is putting any effort with this one, V proved that fighting whales will take anything up the ass as long as they received their precious tournament money.
Yeah any hope I had that they are taking their fighting game shit seriously is dead after this, Capcom wtf

you've seen Luke and Ryu in teaser?
good. demo will be sold at 60 dollars with only those 2 with 2 stages.

also get ready to pay for Sean which nobody seems to care about and they keep his underpowered 3s move list.

That seems to be the opinion so far from image boards.... This thing reeks of "muh eSports", and between the "safe" logo and nigger music playing in the background, I can't really blame them for coming to that conclusion.

This will be on the radar however, I never been much of a Street Fighter guy. Dungeon Fighter Duel was pretty good from what I got to try so that is mostly on my fighting game radar for 2022 but if Street Fighter is shaking its dust off it only means Tekken 8 has to be on the horizon. Right now Strive is my current modern fighting game im grinding on but I am always down for a new game as long as its fun to play.

Also I think hating on "Esports" is kinda dumb as fighting games have always been inherently for competitive minded people. Personally, I think you guys mean to say "I hate this clean mass appeal comp scene image" Capcom tries its hardest to make Street Fighter seem like this major "Clean" competitive scene its not like *OTHER* fighting games see! We have Redbull sponsors! This art style change seems like a shift in that direction too to get out of that "icky" anime look so they can show it on ESPN.

Capcom already burned me bad with SFV and I have no expectations for the $treet Fighter franchise. They couldn't even resist putting another sf2 in that collection.

How did you put a rival school characters in the tailend of a game and not add it to the collection?

Whatever hope the new gen likes semi real Luke.
Thats because there's already a Street Fighter Collection. Its actually being offered in a bundle with this game

It's not just Street Fighter. Almost every major fighting game has been plagued by the "clean" design decisions. KOF recently came out with the generic Fox sports aesthetics when it came to menus and UI. Tekken 7 sort of saved itself because it came out after the mess that it was launch SFV and everyone paid more attention to that. I have no idea what GG strive was going for in that regard.

I think the biggest hurdle for fighting games is that they are asking too mach for what they offer. Say whatever about nigger kombat. but at least that game has a more complete package than what any other FG on the market can offer. Not everyone wants to spend an autistical amount of hours in the online mode fighting other speds, which at the end of the day you're not getting better at the game but exploiting trends that other players unconsciously do and dealing with terrible online infrastructure. Unless you're playing with friends, I don't see the point in playing online.

Want to know the worst part of all of this? They will continue to do the same terrible business practice (seasonal dlc, shitty online structure "now with rollback", bare bones content) because there are a lot of fools that are willing to spend 20 dollars each season for characters they will probably never use.

Maximillion Dood comes to mind with this. When the last season pass for SFV came out, he bought everyone but only used Akira a fuck-ton on online matches (and then Luke when he came out). One would think he would have went with Oro since he's one of those Third Strike fanatics, but nope... just legacy videos of other games ORO was in and one online video and that was it. Only other time he touches the DLC character he doesn't use is when he's doing a "Rate The Super/Costume" video.

Thank God I already gave up on fighting games when the trannies invaded.
ha ha wouldn't it be weird if a vampire magically transformed you into a girl and had his way with you

Is MK11 the most popular, heavily-marketed and widely-successful video game that nobody actually likes? I don't even know what's supposed to be wrong with it other than not enough boobs but NOBODY seems to like it very much and yet I guess it did really well and has 40TB of DLC?

I didn't even touch Street Fighter V now that I think about it lol

People told me it was just DLC and I just kind of forgot about it.
I'm not sure what SF5 even is. I don't know what new Smash games are either. Seems like SF4 HD with 30 more characters would have made everyone happier. 90s Capcom would have been all over that. It's time to admit that making new video games is always a bad idea and never has positive results. Put a Morrigan sprite in 3rd Strike and charge $30 for it or something, like that last SF2 they did.

I wanted to get in on MK11 but none of the hollywood monsters from the previous version returned. Also they couldn't secure the likeness of Jack Nicholson Joker and had to settle for the same dude from Injustice 2.

Really, when was the last fighting game Capcom has made that wasn't a disaster on launch?
