Canadian Truckers Convoy 2022 - The Leaf calls you a Nazi as he gasses you

To be fair, was the Spanish economy ever not a basket case? Even in its golden age it was pumped up by Mesoamerican treasure. Turns out that warlike patronage societies don't really get capitalism.

t. Anglo

this is a perfect example of how Franco's bullshit collides with Whig history and the black legend in the minds of monolingual Americans and has a retarded flamenco baby, but like Singapore speech policies, it could not be more off topic for the thread

What,do you think they care? The NDP stands for nothing. They're just Liberals but orange.
Their donations are directly tied to the provincial NDP parties who are almost entirely union-funded. This could have taken a big chunk out of their pocket if there were grumblings.

It's the only federal party with that structure. Live by the sword, die by the sword.

The unions won't do a thing. Unions might've done something 50 years ago,but now? No way.

You can still find pdfs of it, but it is very hard to find them. It is out of print and it will never be IN print ever again. They have to pretend it doesn't exist, because Solzhenitsyn literally has an unassailable character. They can't demonize him in any way because of the contributions he's made to the world. If they admitted the book exists, they also have to admit that a lot of what is said in that book has merit.

Not a physical copy. I must possess it. My collection has few gaps but one of them is 200 Years Together, by Solzhenitzyn
r says authorized English edition to be published 2024. I did find what appears to be a complete English pdf, but obviously no idea how accurate it is.

I agree with that. But we're starting to get to the edge where workers realize the unions are just extensions of the political parties.

Alberta is a farking shitshow right now. People are realizing where the class lines are. Bring on the cosmetic working class pandering. Will it work?

It better fucking not, brothers.

A mixed economy is a real thing; the US has a mixed economy. There are no purely capitalist or socialist systems. Cuba has a mixed economy of a sort as they allow for some private ownership of business. The US has combined a free market and the socialist principles of state ownership/planning (Obama care). Where it gets dicey is that the US has also pursued a policy of protecting certain private businesses (the 2007 crash is a good example) which is more fascist than capitalist/socialist. It's what the National Socialists did in Germany; private business/ownership supported by the state. Too Big To Fail is a fascist economic policy; Had the banks been put into receivership and then returned back to their shareholders once they were stable, that would be in accordance with the policy of a mixed economy.

Fascism is an economic system, as well as a political one. While both have elements in common, they are different. Stalin behaved like a fascist strongman politically, in that he was both General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Soviet Union, for life, and of course he had millions of Soviet citizens executed, assassinated, murdered or sent to gulags, for political crimes. Literally every crime or offense was a crime against the State and the Party so effectively the entire country was under the threat of death for causing an offense, real or imagined, by Stalin. That is why he was fascist strongman, as opposed to a socialist leader, like Mikhail Gorbachev, who had been elected by the Politburo.
come on man really?
Usually, the penalty for not voting is to be considered as supporting what the majority decides, so arguing that a lot of people didn’t vote (pretty high for a developed nation), isn’t a good argument.
it can argued it means the system is gay and you do not humor it with your consent

I had always thought that the issue was socialism was an incomplete system that while intended to lead to communism it either by human nature or necessity to function had to drift into incidental fascistic waters (see the gayamericanempire for an example) or explicitly so.
There has never been true and honest communism, comrade. All true socialist governments strive to become communist but for now they must be socialist, because reasons, according to Marxist-Leninism.

You really have to jump through hoops to believe in communist/socialist economics, which is why it fails every single time. Countries like China accept some form of the free market. They can't function in the modern world otherwise.

He was a little less sucky than the Republicans in that he didn’t murder priests.
yeah sure as a general

that's got nothing to do with why people hate him. Franco was caudillo for 36 years and he destroyed the country. He didn't even manage to keep it Catholic, nor to keep the aristocracy on the land and employing the still mostly illiterate peasantry, nor did any of the dumbass fuckers surrounding him craft any kind of stable industrial labor policy *all of which were the entire goddamn point of the regime.*

The only people who got rich during his time were foreign investors speculating on the Costa Brava. The aristocracy all made the money they currently enjoy by skimming off the drug trade, but they're all inbred retards, so they can't manage to hang on to it, no matter how much cocaine lands in Galicia and how much hashish and opioids come up through Gibraltar.

there's been a lot of talk in this thread about how the great reset is neofeudalism, is a plan for managed decline, is a deliberate attack on the benefits of industrialism to the common man. There's a great place to look to see what that looks like when people actually pull it off, and it's called "Spain."

The numbers speak for themselves: Spain was an economic basket case while Portugal thrived during the same period but may have been due to the sanctions.

Goddamn, they really are coming out about being a chinese colony. Makes me wonder how this will affect metals and crypto, but you're right about the short term influence being an even bigger bank run.

I suppose our elite wouldn't have any shame about being Chinese quislings when they unironically believe in this stupid meme. I wonder if some believe we're so far "behind" the Chinks that we're akin to the Japanese just before the Meiji restoration, and it's their job to Easternise us just like Meiji Westernised Japan. Edit: Poe's Law

Just because the system is gay and you don't consent doesn't mean it won't fuck you.

At the very least, voting gives you a modicum of a say. It does more than sitting around with your thumb up your ass and crying.

I just looked at their GNP and compared to Spain. They had it better, objectively. If you want to sperg about how it wasn’t perfect, it’s up to you but communism was not a better alternative and is disingenuous to think so.

What other choice did Spain have? Be ruled by commies and completely destroyed or Franco.

Sucky life was preferable to death and none other took the mantle to deal with the commies so tough shit.
