Honestly it's kind of funny how lefties and TDSers will constantly claim Trump is super corrupt and there's a lot of evidence to throw him into jail. Yet stuff like this constantly happens. Like if Trump is as bad as they are stating, why haven't investigation after investigation found anything yet?

EDIT @Oats12345 More like the only clean person. I am yet again reminded of a line from one of Clancy's Jack Ryan novels. Sadly since its fiction there's the one sane person telling people on his side to knock it off unlike in Clown World, but he tells the reporters looking into Ryan for dirt to just stop, because they won't find any, because the man isn't Washington clean, he's clean clean. Not even any unpaid parking tickets. And the media refuse to believe it because he's Public Enemy No. 1 to them. Surely he's got a skeleton buried somewhere they can exhume, right? But no. Because the media is after him, he has to have to done something wrong and none of them can admit its a snipe hunt.

A big difference between business and politics is in business, is it's pretty important to keep yourself legally clean. You can be a giant douchebag and an unethical snake, but if breaking laws can be traced directly back to directives you gave your employees, you can get absolutely screwed by a government compliance attorney who's decided he's had enough of your shit. The whole reason businesses hire armies of lawyers and accountants is to stay technically clean. Of course, a fair number of them cross the line and rely on political patronage to protect them, but that's more the exception than the norm. When you do skirt the boundaries, you don't do dumb shit like hand a politician a bag of cash with "Quid Pro Quo" stamped on it. You make a donation to his campaign and invite him to a gala, all of which is legal.
This quite different from politicians, who flagrantly break laws and rely on good-old-boy networks and mutual blackmail to keep them out of jail.

Just ran a couple errands. Drove by a couple gas stations. Gas is up to 3.65 in my neck of the woods already. For context, I filled up last Thursday and it was 3.27 a gallon. It begins.
