Gas is not going to go to $10/gallon. The US produces enough oil to meet its own demand and the president has unilateral power to control or even outright ban oil exports. Add in Canada and Mexico to the mix (neither of which are slouches when it comes to petroleum production), and things in North America will be fine.

The problem is that in order to act on this, Biden will essentially have to leave some US allies out in the cold. Which is not going to be an easy policy to swallow.

What Kevin Liptak is saying is that $10 a gallon is a small price for Europe to pay for carrying out U.S. Defense Contractor's policies.
