So, what exactly is Putin's endgame with this?

Rhetoric? He's spoken about Ukraine being a part of Russia a lot. Having a buffer state and preventing NATO from expanding to Russia's doorstep.

Think it has something to do with the economy? Destabilize the region, install a puppet government, have East and West Ukraine fight it out and profit?

Legacy?

I feel like I can believe him saying he doesn't want to occupy Ukraine

I just don't quite get it. By all accounts this will most likely be bad for Russia (and the world)

Regardless, there was very very little resistance. YOu guys think that is more due to the nature and precision of the attack or something along the lines of the military and locale not supporting the government?
Putin literally has no fucking clue what he's doing. He's doing it to get a reaction and go ahead accordingly.
Putin's spymaster stuttered yesterday while delivering remarks on recognition of Ukrainian territories. When the spymaster doesn't even know what the leader wants, something ain't right.
You are honestly fucking retarded if you thought Putin was really gonna stop at just Ukraine.
It starts with appeasement...

I think at the time nearly everyone was on board with this idea with the exception of some academic named John Mearsheimer. Obviously in retrospect of course Ukraine should of never gave up its nuclear weapons.
Ukraine had the physical bombs but the keys to the ignition were in Moscow. Same as with the NATO second strike bombs, they were never actually a nuclear power even immediately after independence.

I wonder if any Ukrainian Kiwis are with us or IF they are not, I wonder how it feels to see your nation being invaded while a bunch of internet autists make funny memes and shit on a senile politician. I mean with the US, China, or Russia, this site would be mostly silent with the occasional Kiwi wishing each other goodbye know that in about 15-30 minutes life as we have known it will cease to exist.
@Vince McMahon is from the Ukraine. I wonder if he's okay.
