It's not the first time Cover did a rash and stupid decision. 'member Coco's suspension? How about Aloe? How about Haachama? How about the time when they literally took a blind eye at Mel's manager while she was being harassed? God I really hope Mel pushed that fucking lawsuit against Cover for being incompetent pieces of shit

They were (and honestly still are) a small company and the Coco/Haachama taiwan situation caused a huge flood of shit to flow in their direction from china. "Suspending" them to sort it out and figure out what to do isn't surprising. I'm sure they weren't prepared for a shitstorm of that magnitude and needed time to respond. I'm guessing they still paid them at least their regular salaries during that time. In the end, they shut down an entire branch of the company in support of them, one that could have potentially been a huge cash-cow.

From what I've read about Aloe/Chris, that was the fault of the streamer and breach of contract on their part.

The only one from your list of examples that I might hold again Cover is the Mel situation. I don't know a ton about that so I'm not going to say one way or the other, but considering Mel is still with them, it seems like she feels satisfied things got sorted out.

You really seem to have a bone to pick with Cover, or you're just one of those people who think all corp = bad.

Aloe wasn't Terminated either in fact. It was agreed between the talent and company to officially graduate.

I wonder, what will be the MO when it comes to clips or fanarts of this shit?

niggas like 2ManySnacks have prominent Rushia fanims, if the channel is getting sunsetted would they copystrike the remaining clips or clippers?
Clips/Fan Stuff tends to not get fucked with. There's no precedent to this

Excuse me, what the actual flying fuck?

Cover, it's RUSSIA who invaded Ukraine, not Rushia

Edit:

They didn't throw Coco or Hachama under the bus. They suspended them as a form of damage control. Was it the best thing to do or did they handle it properly? Probably not.

Doubt anyone gives a shit about the twink save a few butthurt Rushia fans.

How so? If what they claim is true they are well within their right to boot her. Of course the fans are retarded and will never blame the talent and throw a hissy fit at the company.

They wont explain shit. This is a japanese company.

Given by the fact that Rushia seems to have created a youtube channel yesterday, she probably knew for atleast a day.

Niji has its own shitshows.

Cover was financially damaged by their talents but Coco and Haachama didn't breach the contract.

Or they know that they have little to no say in the matter. In Japan, the nail that sticks out will get hammered back in.

Edit: This was posted yesterday. At least this guy suspected it.
I think that's the gist of it, they want to send a message; it doesn't matter whether a talent is in a relationship, but low-key threatening suicide on your official twitter account is unacceptable.
Not related to vtubing, but this guy from the clip looks like that faggot jew writer who self-inserted himself into the Powerpuff Girls as an OG character to date Blossom.

Damn, I go to play vidya and come back to an actual fucking firing.
The rrats are running wild tonight, its hard to tell what's true and what's bullshit right now. /vt/ is probably melting down.

/vt/ has a goddamn sticky thread for it. This has only been done with new gen debuts and graduations like Coco.
In a more serious topic does anyone still believe the Fubuki canary bullshit ?
Unless you think Fubuki to be a master manipulator a la Rushia, to the point of faking emotional weakness the date Coco’s channel lost membership, I don’t really see any reason to doubt her take.

Oh shit, you're right. Better download animations and clips while we can.

EDIT: Just realized this is an animation about Rushia getting murdered. Oof

but do remember that Fubuki said she will stay in Hololive as long as it's a good place to be.

I don't watch that much FBK but I'll take her words for it. Lots of shit has happened with Cover vs talents, but FBK is still here and it kinda assures everyone in a way.

This is gonna be a nice news to wake up to for Rushia's genmates and other sleeping holomems, unless they already knew?

Considering Cover published an initial statement about defamation of one of their members, they were clearly on board with defending Rushia and the only reason they would let go of their top earner talent who made 3+ million dollars in two and a half years is because she fucked up royally and they were forced to. I'm sure Yagoo is not happy about it either way.

Also, Coco's suspension was nothing, considering they chose to pull out of China instead of firing Coco, and kept her for as long as she wanted until she succumbed to the pressure from the bugmen.

Alright fandeads stay away from Nene she's a wife not girlfriend.

Damn I'm sure this will put all the girls in place especially the timid shy ones. Can't say I'm surprised Japanese companies are as ruthless as they are slow and out of touch.
In their eyes now someone needs to step up and fill the role that Rushia left behind and I'm sure some talents are up for the challenge that's just how their Japanese minds are programed to work, work, work.

If anyone is going to be vocal and protest it's gonna be EN I don't think anyone from JP or ID will say a damn thing.

Elden Ring comes out tomorrow and now Rushias been fired sure is looking like an interesting weekend.

The influx of normalfags probably helped exacerbate the problem, since the situation with Rushia would've only been 'virtual idol suspected of having a relationship with another person, gachikois sperg out' had there not been an influx of people on twitter shedding light on the situation.
