General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

probably while frantically deleting their discord/line history...
there wasn't really much they could say, especially after that bomb of an official announcement. anything short of toeing the company line in this case could be misconstrued by a management that already has ants in the pants - who would want to be the one siding with or defending the someone who failed the company and blabbed about secrets?

the thing you'd have to consider, that same emotionally fragile girl got kicked out pretty hard. call me a concernfag, but even the most well adjusted person doesn't take a blow like that easily.

one reason the people are still miffed about the whole aloe situation was that cover could've handled it better, and the same could apply here. they could've put her on hiatus till after the expo and then still fire her with an empty PR notice, even if they are in their full right. it would at least have been better PR and less short sighted, let's just say I hope this is the worst that's gonna happen and will indeed lead to a great career and life.
I dont think its that easy tho their option were either

Fire her now but withhold the announcement: this would be hella sus and people would probably figure it out leading to a bigger shitstorm

Not fire her until after Holfest: again it would be hard to hide the fact you were going to fire her and most people would consider a massive duck move to make everyone think everthing is fine just to pull a fast one on both Rushia and the fans

Fire her now and announce it: let's them control the situation and give them the most buffer time to dmg control until holofest

Imagine keeping someone within the company that YOU ALREADY KNOW has leaked confidential information and is aware that you are terminating their contract

They had to cut her off immediately, otherwise, we don't know what else she could have shared or done.

Suisei's response to the goings on
Seems like the holomems who are awake are just moving on from this.

Now that Rushia has been unceremoniously let off, what would happen to Mafumafu though. I get that he put Rushia under the bus and let her go too, but isn't he also a contributing factor to this? Will he get spammed too or something ala chinks/buggers? necrotic fandeads who want to affect his fanbase?

Mafumafu needs to go into Witness Protection

Man is gonna die.

I mean, Flare said during her recent holotalk with Kiara that Gen3 members are connected by strong bonds, so if their reaction is literally the Clarkson meme, something must have blown up quite seriously...

"If I somehow hear of your random disapperance I would not grieve for you." :story: Here we have autists trying to sound threatening and a japanese keemstar not giving a fuck He might just not understand what they're writing though, since he's a filthy jap

I don't see too many people blaming COVER tbh.... most people are either confused or agree rushia must have done something, but i guess it makes sense, with the Coco/haato thing and the aloe thing you could have claimed they were bending over to appease angry retards for their money, but deleting rushia literally gets them nothing but scorn and lost revenue.

Also i firmly believe the JPs all knew of this from a while ago, but the ENs likely didn't, that explains calli's retard response
Aloe, Coco, and Haato also weren't straight up fired/terminated. Termination implies the person fucked up gravely in some way.

That doesn't really say anything, that is the correct response to this kind of situation if you aren't quitting your job for it.
Calli just loves the taste of her own feet too much.

People forget Tsukishita Kaoru was also unpersoned, but I'll be fair - no one gives a shit about the Homos
To be completely transparent, I left out the three Homo graduates because I was not around to witness their genmates’ reactions so including them would only muddy up my analysis:Kaoru announced his Vtuber persona irl gambling on beyblades, that one guy didn’t think the Homo hustle was worth it and quit to stream on his roommate account, and Kira was a medical graduation. To my knowledge, the fan reaction was shock and confusion to Kaoru, and resignation to Kira.

The only really bad thing that could possibly happen is if another talent decides to call it quits in protest.
Kinda fucked up, but that would be a pretty good barometer for who's to blame between Cover or Rushia.

Potential rrat: didn't kson mention recently that she went to go cheer up a friend?

e: anyone got a time machine?

Fortunately I'm not a Rushia fan but I just downloaded every animation involving Rushia from the channels I like, as well as the holodeath collabs (one of which is on Rushia's channel so it will be gone soon).

Also downloaded her appearance on Coco's meme review as translated by InAccurateSubs.

Glad I wasn't a fan of hers or I'd really be busy.

Check the last 10 pages of this thread. You'll find plenty of different examples of people being sad about normal graduations without "quitting their job for it".
I think it is pretty normal to be pretty down when you find out a coworker is terminated tbh, at least from a westerner perspective. Maybe it is less turbulent JP culture-wise? Also, maybe the JP branches were a lot more in the know considering the language barrier and being overall closer to the situation relatively. I do hope HoloEN management is filling them in in case there is any confusion and unease over it.

E: Again, it might be good to do a bit more coworker/friend talk before twitter posting for Calli. It's not like there is anything bad per se with her tweet, but it wouldn't hurt in cases like this where a more official statement would be better (sad to hear the news, understandable, please continue to support my existing friends/coworkers, yadda yadda)
