If you annex 14% of the population, taking a lot of the ethnic Russians, I don't see why it would make it any less relevant for the ethnic Ukranians to want to join NATO. Russia removed the diluting power and votes they had to keep Ukraine from voting to join.

I don't have a source in english, but the Swedish prime minister basically said fuck that, someone else will have to take them.
Sweden only wants refugees from the other side of the world for some reason.

Back when Obama's minions were screaming and scheming in Ukraine Kissinger said it was a bad thing, since it borders Russia and would eventually cause Russia to take action. I don't like Kissinger but he's often right. Imagine if Russia had cosied up to Mexico and installed their own puppet as President, and made noises about protecting Cuba and Venezuela. Everyone would have lost their shit, and rightly so. That's kind of what's happening with Ukraine. Those aren't experts, they are sycophants who try to curry favor with the DC establishment to try to get a cushy job in a think tank and get paid for pontificating on CNN.

This is going to really damage the US, long after Sleepy Joe shuffles off to the nursing home to live out his days in a dementia induced stupor while the US crumbles. But hey, no mean tweets from Orange Man, amirite? Oh and get vaxed chuds, you're killing grandma Jill!
