Too early to say that. There is apparently fierce fighting around Kharkiv
So far Kharkov is already more or less secured fightings already over. Intel slavia and Bella actum in telegram have it already
That will cause more damage to Ukraine, and kill more Ukrainians, than this invasion ever will.
I mean Russia says it wants to "Denazifi" Ukraine. You have alot of Russian far right dissidents who fled Russia for Ukraine and general far right sentiment in that country. This isn't exactly going to play out nicely. In the short term yes long term not so sure.

The US had a huge nuclear arsenal when the Cuban Missile Crisis happened. Amazingly enough non-friendly powers don't like it when you start setting up military bases near their home soil.

Whether or not NATO wants to exterminate a country is irrelevant. Gaddafi and Saddam were allies to the west at certain points during their life. Nobody wanted to exterminate their countries either and people like you probably would have told Iraqi and Libyan doomsayers the exact same thing.

Allowing your strategic enemy to place military bases within spitting distance of your country, allowing your strategic enemy to install a regime friendly to them in a country on your doorstep, is something no government would allow.
This isn't the Cold War, and the US is not really an 'enemy' of Russia. At best it is wary of it and a rival for influence on the world stage. Again, the idea that the US wants to invade/nuke/destroy Russia is absurd.

I think NATO's motivations are pretty damn relevant when you are basing your foreign policy on exactly those motives... as for Libya and Iraq, the West went for regime change, not annexation or an erasure of those nationalities. Of course those nations exist as Western constructs anyway from colonial times.

Again, this is not the Cold War. Russia is not facing imminent threat of an invasion by the West. To think it is lunacy. There is nothing to gain from such a move, and a hell of a lot to lose. At best NATO might want regime change... but only because Putin's administration is so hostile to the West in the first place.

I'm honestly getting sick of all this Russian dick-sucking. It's like the more paranoid Russia is, the more justified it is to do whatever it wants. Why does Russia have a right to indulge in its fear and invade whoever it wants, but Ukraine does not have a right to be afraid of Russia, of itself being invaded by an overwhelming force?

Saying "well the US tried the same thing with Cuba" is asinine; at best it highlights US hypocrisy which we're all well aware of. I don't get why Russia can be terrified of the big bad NATO and do what it likes but Ukraine has to suffer invasion because how dare they want to join NATO and not get invaded by Russia.

Gee, it's almost like these states have a legit reason to join it...

i think there's nothing biden could have done about it at any point during his term as president.

this situation goes back all the way to 2008, during the end of the bush administration, when NATO declared that they intended to eventually make ukraine part of the alliance. so, once again, we can thank W and his neocon handlers for this mess, as well as obama for not reversing this policy when he came to power.

between 2008 and 2014 it could probably have been reversed, then 2014 euromaidan probably would not have taken place, and ukraine would still be an intact country today. but it wasn't reversed, and euromaidan did take place, and so now here we are.

I have the feeling that when Russia falls into an economic crisis, China will start "helping it out" which would lead to stronger chinese influence.
There was a stupid bitch on the tee vee today who claimed that Russia would be crippled from being denied access to western hi-tec gadgets, you know all those gadgets that the Chinese make. White leftists are literally the dumbest motherfuckers on the planet.

If the EU decides to bring down a no shit trade embargo then that will be the end of the EU. Russia will ship it's oil and gas to the Chinks and get paid enough to keep going meanwhile the bugmen in the European capitals will switch on their lights and nothing will happen.

Why isn't this old fuck doing anything? What happened to the good old United States? Why are Americans refusing to fight for "Democracy" and "Freedom" globally?
Why is this old fuck letting your hegemony die down so quickly?
No one will take the United States seriously anymore in the future, no one will fear your sanctions, your country is going to fall into irrelevancy and turn into a "Second Canada" soon.
Cool, no one gives a shit. We need to pull out of NATO and let the rest of the world do its thing.

What some bugman eurofag thinks of my government that i didn't vote for matters none to me

Who the fuck said anything about NATO? If this were a fight against NATO the Russian conventional forces would be turbodunked in 24 hours. I'm talking about vatniks feeding hundreds of millions of dollars of equipment to retards with javelins and stingers. I was talking about the resources Russia is committing to this fight, and the costs of the sanctions, vs the benefits of their actions. They are absolutely not going to get anything worth the value of the vehicles and equipment they've lost already. You can talk all you want about NATO encroachment, but then I'd ask you why Poland and other ex soviet states were chomping at the bit to join NATO, and why Ukraine refused to give up their ex-soviet nukes until they received a promise of support from NATO.

I'll give you a hint, any benefit in taking buffer space between Russia and NATO comes at a detriment of making everyone else who was nearby want to join NATO and be more closely integrated with NATO because of exactly this kind of action on Putin's part. You can say, "Well Russia fears for it's sovereignty in the face of NATO aggression so it's only right they do this" but then that makes everyone else even vaguely under threat from Russia want to be a part of NATO even more.

Personally, I don't care for victim narratives and respect Putin for making his play. I just fail to see how this will benefit him or his oligarchs in anyway in the long run, and that calculus just gets worse the longer this goes on.
I think your analysis is completely wrong on how this will effect surrounding countries. Time will tell but globohomo isn't popular around the world, it's not even popular in the countries that are pushing it. I wouldn't assume Russia taking out a globohomo puppet in the Ukranian goverment is as detrimental to his reputation in those countries as you think it is.

"The President of the United States, who has claimed to be a tough guy who Putin fears, who fucking knew for months, loudly proclaiming it, that Russia is going to attack Ukraine without a doubt, is too impotent to have done anything about it."
Ukraine never asked us for assistance. There isn't much we could do about it.

Yes, they are nigger faggots who are part of the deep state and always manage to push the U.S. into unnecessary wars. (abridged definition).
Neocons are the early 2000s era Republicans

Fair question. I think the administration’s belligerent rhetoric about Russia was foolish and made them appear weak and impotent on the world stage in light of this invasion. Not to mention the pride flags being hung outside US embassies and soforth. Our credibility is now nonexistent and that could have been handled better.

At this point you’re probably right that sanctions are the only realistic response in the short term.
I agree it could've been handled better. I think Putin would've ended up doing it regardless no matter what we did.

Maybe listen to guys like us for once. We might seem exceptional but we usually get things right. Look Biden can't do shit because he's a dotering old fool, Kamala is a moron and this all just backfired.

Now is the time to self reflect for a moment. Remember how much you wanted to own drumpf, and blame the gop alot of this was the fault of people like Biden and Clinton. You can either become far left and troon out as a cope. Or my friend you can take a Redpill realize you've been lied to and start ending it by not letting the lie live through you.
No, lol, you don't usually get things right. You guys are batting like .100 against me.

For someone claiming to be super duper smart, you didn't even answer the question. What do/did you want Biden to do about it? If you think Trump would've stopped this, you are fucking hilariously retarded.

Was Afghanistan part of NATO for all those years until Biden chickened out and basically gave it to the Taliban as free real estate?
The big issue with Afghanistan is that the government the USA propped up was kind of incompetent and corrupt. A good example of this is when it was falling to the Taliban the president decided to flee while his soldiers died fighting.

Should never have courted and egged this on in the first place. That the Admin has placed themselves in a situation with no good answers doesn't mean that those who critique them should provide the answer for them.

Everyone knew this would happen if the Admin kept poking the bear. Now that the bear is awake it isn't the job of everyone who pointed out the poking to provide the bear repellent.
Believe me, I agree that O’biden is a demented old fool and that all other world leaders know it. What I’m saying is, what the fuck can be done at this point anyway? Russia has called the West’s bluff and presumably China will do the same in the coming months or years. I just don’t see what options there are now aside from economic sanctions and pansy shit like that
