I'm sure the Germans would also not be thrilled with the idea of Russia being anywhere near it again. May even cut the poles a deal.
"We" already sell Poland tanks and weapons on a regular basis, as our entire strategy against a potential Russian threat is to basically let the east-europeans do all the dirty work.

Naturally, but considering that they caught the Ukrainians with their pants down, these are still impressive. Especially when you remember the Ukrainians reporting under 500 casualties total on their side.

Although knowing the Russians, we will probably never know the true numbers. The loss of air assets at least seems reasonable.
That Ukranian number is an absolute fucking lie and the number is in the thousands

that's only if they launch their entire arsenal (they wont) only at the USA. they must split their nukes between targets in 35 countries. they dont have enough to go around anymore. this isnt the 1980's when they had 40,000 nukes. they have 1,500 ready to launch and 4000 in long term storage.

Those numbers are undoubtedly exaggerated because fog of war and shit but it's entirely plausible that Russia is taking some real losses, the Ukrainians are fighting hard in several places (and not so hard in several others, it's not easy to fight hard everywhere when you're getting hit from 3 directions by a bigger and better equipped enemy)
Some they were probably absolutely ready for. Anyone that trains with the U.S. knows military loves to take airports. The Army, Airforce, and Marines all have unites specialized just for taking airports, and fuckers that will fight to the death to defend them. I don't doubt the Ukrainians that were tasked with guarding it were top tier (some mentioned it might've even been a Spteznas unit)

But the Ukrainian navy is dog shit. Maybe one frigate and one corvette. They should've have even been out in broad daylight. The Russians could've just let them starve to capitulate. Blowing them up was a bit much.

While they were on track to joining the EU and NATO, their corrupt incompetent government that lead to a literal TV comedian getting elected dragged it's feet for too long, and now Russia is taking back its clay. This isn't like Afghanistan where our long term vassal that had a lot of significance to the USA both domestically and internationally folded in under a month. Yeah, not "the best look" for America, Europe, NATO, and the EU. But all this talk of Putin going on a Third Reich invasion spree or that this all means Taiwan is doomed (not that I rule out a Chinese invasion, its just unlikely given China's situation) is fucking retarded nonsense.

This is a country where the current president was largely elected because he played the President on a TV sitcom for fuck sake. Are you really going to risk the ruin of Europe and possible nuclear oblivion over a country that does that? At least Trump has been President baiting since the 80's.
I think you're being retardedly optimistic if you think Taiwan isn't destined to be fucked.

This is the reality of it. Russia has a big enough intelligence center that they don't need to invade a country for dirt. They're invading it because they want the country.
Oh, I'm not saying that's the reason they're invading. I'm say that might be a reason for the US to respond (in tinfoil hat land).

Russia is a shit country that treats its servile subjects like throwaway garbage. Look at Stalingrad for an obvious historical example. The problem is they have a lot of people with no real use except as consumers of krokodil and they can throw them away by the tens of thousands and still keep them coming.
