As far as I know, an awful lot of Ukraine's energy generation happens in the South around the mouth of the Dnieper river - i.e, exactly where the Russians are pressing the hardest.

Here's a map from Wikipedia of all the power stations in Ukraine. It looks like the Kakhovka HE Station has already been taken by the Russians and that they've been able to bridge the Dnieper. I'd wager that the Russians are going to proceed North, working up the Dnieper to Dnipro.

Zaporizhzhia(1) Nuclear Power Plant generates about 1/5 of the country's energy. Blackouts in Ukraine incoming?
(can Ukraine please stop naming their cities by throwing a scrabble board and seeing where the pieces land?)

Looks like Ukraine ain't gonna invade Russia or Belarus in retaliation.

Also why would Russia take over Chernobyl?, no one can live there.
What is even the use of the plant? does it still is conected with energy lines or just for symbolic reasons?
I've said this before and I'll say it again - CNPP was no longer producing electricity by the year 2000 (although the reactors 1, 2 and 3 weren't decommissioned until 2015), but its switchyard operates to this day. I guess that's why they took over the station - it makes sense to take it over to try and disrupt the power distribution.

The Ukrainian government was not only robbing its own people blind, it was actively assisting corrupt US politicians rob the US and its citizens blind. They get what they deserve.
Genius take, a generation of coming under Russia's thumb, getting invaded twice, and at least a generation of being under that thumb if Russia gets what it wants is a good punishment for a country because the government was corrupted by globohomoneoliberals

Shit like 85% of the countries on earth deserve 50 years of shit then lol

Imagine thinking being ruled by Moscow isn't an exercise in nichevo like it has always been

You really think so? What kind of "show of strength" are we talking about? I find it hard to believe Trump would have actually put boots on the ground on Ukraine. And how does this square with Trump's nearly constant slobbering all over Putin?
It would be absolute lunacy to put boots on the ground, and Trump wouldn't have done that, either. One of Trump's rare good points is he did not drag the country into nonsensical, frivolous foreign adventures.

Maybe the command thought bothering to defend the airspace of the rest of the country was a waste of time and resources?
their airforce is very small. its likely the only way for it to survive. sending to the front would mean certain destruction, especially with russian special forces attempting to assault the capitol. they are needed in kiev where it is relatively safe.

Imagine saying this when that is EXACTLY what Biden is doing.
Leftists have twisted what is left of their minds into a pretzel. These are the same people that on Twitter are praising Biden for being "tough" on Putin, while Putin is driving tanks through the Ukraine and bombing the shit out of their capital. One of the best ones is "Biden and NATO are unified!" as a large group of NATO is blocking other countries of NATO from removing Russia from SWIFT. It is truly impressive to see.

Actually, Tsar Bomba was closer to a mistake. While they wanted a big toy, they didn't mean to go that big. At least that's what I've read.

Tsar Bomba was trying to answer the question "Can we react all of the Uranium?".

I'm going to try to tl;dr this.
There is a difference between ATOMIC and NUCLEAR weapons.
The US dropped Atomic bombs on Japan. These were single-stage bombs - that is, they used explosions to compress uranium/plutonium to critical mass, causing neutron to cause atomic nuclei to divide and release energy. This is very inefficient as a good amount of the mass is unreacted due to neutrons not hitting it.

Modern weapons are Nuclear. They are actually two bombs. The first reaction is just to provide neutrons to power the second one. In fact, modern bombs, also called "H" bombs, are fusion bombs. They use the first explosion to create a hydron fusion explosion to create the neutrons to react the fissible payload.

The Tsar Bomba was THREE stage bomb. There was the starter warhead, then a second warheand, and the fissible mass. This extreme abundance of neutrons caused almost all the plutonium in stage 3 to react. This means the Tsar Bomba produced almost no fallout, because all the atoms decayed in microseconds.

The reason no one makes three stage bombs anymore is there is no need. With modern material sceience we can get the first explosion to create all the neutrons needed to react the second. You have to create ridiculously big stage 3 to make it worth the effort.

So it wasn't a mistake by any stretch, more of unintentional success. They just hadn't realized HOW big the explosion would be when all of stage 3 reacted, and didn't think they'd produce enough neutrons to fully react it.

Trump never would have allowed the US to get so dependent on Russian oil and resources as well and I think that is a large part of what has emboldened Putin.
The US is as dependent on Russian oil now as it was under Trump. Which is to say - not very. Most oil used in the US comes from the US itself, Canada, or Mexico. Hell, until the current oil shortfall due to demand spikes, Saudi tankers were routinely turned away because they couldn't find buyers for the stuff in the US.

The problem is that Europe is dependent on Russian oil and gas, and neither Biden nor Trump could fix that because Europe is run by retards who think war doesn't real.

Also aren't they like actual neon-nazis or some bullshit? I believe I've heard that. But I guess believing women exist is what Nazism actually is these days. Throwing Roman salutes, waving around swastika flags, actually worshipping Hitler? That's very progressive.

I'd love to see Biden forced by price pressures and politics to rev up the coal industry here again, something Trump said he'd do but never actually did.
